Hi People, This is my story. I am not sure how I contracted Hep C. When I was a teen, I was going to a Halloween party. My sister was helping me with my clown makeup.Next thing I know she was screaming for my mother to look at my eyes. They were bright yellow, also known as Jaundice. I was taken to Walter

Foods/Supplements-Vitamins: Fish - Marine Omega-3 - EPA & DHA
This is a companion piece to "Foods/Supplements-Vitamins: Fish", that considers marine omega-3 from seafood & supplements, & attempts to explain why it may be important in PCa, in spite of conflicting studies. Human studies have yielded confusing results. One might expect inconsistencies between populations

I have auto immune hepatitis. I wonder does anyone know why they put you on immuno suppressants - i.e. - presdnisone ( can't spell it) and then azathioprine and then wean you off it just when you start feeling better. I will ask him next time, but with brain fog I'm forgetting where my elbow is as

Foods/Supplements-Vitamins: Fish
Fish is a problem topic. Like chicken, a lot of it is served deep-fried. There is also the complication of the sheer number of types of fish. Then there are the the distinctions of salt versus freshwater; fatty versus lean; farmed versus wild-caught; the waters they were caught in; the omega-3 content

First cycle
Hi everyone! DH and I are just starting our first cycle, we are using ICSI due to his low motility. I took norethisterone for ten days and am supposed to bleed before the baseline scan. We have this booked for Wednesday, though I haven't started bleeding yet... I just wanted to introduce myself and ask

Ketogenic Diet lowers v.l.
I was sent a link to this which is about GS-5816 (Velpatasvir) treatment but also has an interesting observation about the impact of the ketogenic diet on viral load levels. hopefulgeranium.blogspot.com.au/2014/03/...se-iii-trial-of.html There is more about it here: hopefulgeranium.blogspot.com.au

HCV treated with Harvoni Information genotype 1a/b
This is an update regarding my Hepatitis C or HCV. In 1987 I was feeling tired and my skin had very slight yellow tinge...which others thought was a suntan. My sister in USA prompted me to have full blood tests to find out if I contracted anything. My GP said it was probably due to having two small children

Biopsy results
Finally have my liver biopsy results. No fibrossis, No NASH just very mild fatty liver and mild inflammation. Dr believes that i do not have an enlarged liver and spleen as suggested by ultrasound. Ct showed normal size. He said the size ranges of a liver, used as a guidline, are based on an average

Foods/Supplements-Vitamins: Vitamin C - Oral
This is the other half of the vitamin C topic. (aka ascorbic acid; ascorbate) Oral vitamin C from food or supplements is mostly not associated with reduced PCa risk. Studies mostly looked at vitamin C intake & the risk of a future PCa diagnosis. Is there benefit after diagnosis? The vitamin C gurus

A wave to make you smile
Hi everyone, this is one Not to try at home. I decided to give myself a home pamper treat this morning, so on goes the pure avocado oil face mask, it says suitable as salad dressing and full of vitamin E, so that's got to be good hasn't it? So I'm sat there luxuriating as my dear friend (?) massages

Treating myself holistically
I'm new here, i've.had hep c 35 years, treating myself with supplements Wouldn't touch the pharmaceuticals..too risky. Harvoni for my genotype 1 but read too much about people much worse than when than before they used it and Gilead being sued by them/their families. Great though for people it's helped

Ribovirin and sofusbivar
Hi all, this morning I started on my twelve week treatment for HCV with Ribovirin and Sofosbuvir. I'm not really feeling any side effects, apart from maybe a slightly low mood and a general feeling of edginess. I have genotype 2. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience of this particular combination

Keratosis Pilaris getting worse
Hi, I've always suffered from Keratosis Pilaris on the tops of my arms and thighs which hasn't particularly bothered me much, but now aged 26, it's suddenly gotten much worse. My entire legs are covered in ugly red spots which have now spread to the backs of my thighs and even my bottom! Rather embarrassing
