I heard that IgG elevation is used for diagnosing AIH. However this is quoted as a number not negative or positive.

Just looking at my blood test results and it says:

Hepatitis E IgG level - Negative

Is this the same or a different type of IgG?

Hepatitis E is not the same as Autoimmune Hepatitis, nor will the immunoglobulins (IgA, IgG, IgM) be the same). Sounds like they have been testing the different Hep A, B, C, D and E variants.
