Hi everyone, this is one Not to try at home. I decided to give myself a home pamper treat this morning, so on goes the pure avocado oil face mask, it says suitable as salad dressing and full of vitamin E, so that's got to be good hasn't it? So I'm sat there luxuriating as my dear friend (?) massages my hands and suggests I soak my feel in warm water infused with turmeric powder as she tells me in the "old days" people with chill blains would often soak hands & feet in mustard! Why not I thought, I've done crazy things before I had fibro so why should I change a habit of a life time.
I know what you're thinking (bonkers!) Well, LOL everyone because an hour later I remove my feet to find that they are stained bright orange!! And if that's not bad enough I find that when I go to remove the avocado oil from my face I see that it has left me with a nice shade of green glow! In shock I have dropped my phone into the turmeric or I'd post a photo, now I've got some explaining to the insurance co., d'you think they'll believe me? So if you're having a bad day, think of me.... I'm a cross between the Hulk and a duck ...... and fibro!

That is priceless!! I'm so sorry but you really made me laugh. As soon as I read turmeric I knew what would happen lol. Every time I have a curry it takes ages to get the yellow from my nails, and that's just a brief encounter lol.
I am sure that the insurance company will believe you! You couldn't make that up! Hope you don't have plans for the weekend xx πΈ
Hi there, glad I brought a smile! I like the idea of being a set of traffic lights as long as they keep changing and I don't cause a queue! I am interested to know what your potassium thing is? can you send me some info, many thanks, have a good day
I am afraid my potassium thing is nothing exotic.I have had blood clots in both legs and I was allergic to cream that they gave me at hospital. They started to leak and I ended up with a huge deep ulcer on my right leg which has taken ages to clear up.(approx 8 months) The left leg then started leaking really badly.I was referred to a dermatologist in Cardiff who has prescribed these soaks for my legs, every day for 2 wks and then for 6 wks it will be every other day.I am supposed to be going to hospital every day to have this done but it is so restrictive ( hospital where it is done is 30 miles round trip) so instead of bandaging my legs after soaking everyday they have given me compression stockings.I visit hospital twice a wk and a nurse visits me at home one day a wk and then my husband helps me with the stockings and soaks on the other days. what a palaver!!
I really don't need all this on top if everything else that's wrong with me.
They are not the sexiest things in the world either and I refer to them as my Norah Battys.
The only problem is the potassium stains everything it comes into contact with.My legs are a dark purple.I can't tip the water down the sink as it will stain that and I have to be careful I don't spill it on carpets or clothing etc.Already ruined two nice towels.
