Good News about Cirrhosis?
With all this Covid 19 madness, I’ve kind of forgotten about my husbands cirrhosis. Has anyone heard any good news for cirrhosis lately? Anything on the horizon? I’m wondering about Vitamin E and if that helps. I also read that Gastric weight loss surgery has done good things for NASH related cirrhosis

My Doctor doesn’t think I have ALD but instead autoimmune hepatitis (maybe) because I don’t drink anywhere near enough. But I was just randomly curious whether alcoholic steohepatitis is reversible? Getting a biopsy for possible autoimmune hepatitis - he thinks I may have got from some antibiotics I

Definitive List of Additives that come from Wheat/Gluten Source?
Hi I'm checking if anyone has a definitive list/source of information as to all the food additives that do/may come from a wheat/gluten source or might present a risk to those who are 'highly sensitive' to gluten (i.e. need 0ppm). To date, my knowledge on this is: - Glucose (when source non-specified

Vitamin E?
A lot is being said about other vitamins and minerals, and many use supplements, but I have not been able to find much info about vit E. My doctor never tests it; only vits A, B12, and D. Is anyone taking vit E as a supplement? When should it be supplemented?

2020 and we are still confronted with stigma. Even from some of the medical professionals. (I’m new to the forum).
I had successful treatment for hep. c after second treatment, (48 weeks the first time, 14 weeks the second time) which was about 5 to 6 years ago. The reason I mention stigma is twofold. Firstly I got hep. c through intravenous drug use in the 1960s and 70s. Secondly I suffer from a serious mental

How I overcame IBS-D
Dear all, I periodically post this advice to help new-comers to the subject. I consider myself a recovered IBS-sufferer and so like to share what I learned. I hope that you are keeping sane during the lockdown! This is my general approach to help people understand and repair their gastro-intestinal

Tips on how to get ready for IVF while waiting.
So the same as a lot of other people my IVF has been cancelled for the foreseeable...I’m trying to use the time to get my body ready for the IVF while we’re waiting. I’m taking the well women vitamin along with CoQ10, vitamin E and some fish oil. I’m also doing the castor oil packs after my period

Elocon Not working
Hi All Prescribed Elocon 3 weeks ago for lupus profundus on my nose. I have started losing tissue which is upsetting. The redness is slightly reduced and 2 of the bigger bumps but I was told not to use it for more than 2 weeks and then have a break. If it has not cleared what do I do now ? Wait to lose

Multiple ideas in Article that have never come up in any posts before
I almost didn't bother to read this article. I thought I knew every possible environmental trigger and possible deficiency, many of which are frequently mentioned from the many posters. I was wrong and therefore urge you to read the article and follow the links in it regardless of whether you wish

Anyone here taking Tenofovir Alafenamide (TAF) instead of Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate (TDF) for Hepatits B?
Hello all, I was wondering, are there any Hep B sufferers in the UK that have been prescribed the newer formulation of Tenofovir (Tenofovir alafenamide; TAF)? I know it is associated with a significantly lower risk of reduced kidney function. From what I have read in the available medical literature

Liver Transplants at the QE Birmingham.
This is really for those who are on the liver transplant waiting list, and who are awaiting that elusive phone call. I have heard that for the time being, all liver transplants are on hold, until this present epidemic has calmed down. Those patients are advised to stay on contact with the transplant
