Possible underactive thyroid?
Hi everyone, I'm new here and would love some advice from people who actually know what they're talking about as I currently feel like I'm being fobbed off by everyone! I am 42 years old, and have struggled with symptoms that I have always considered to be thyroid related but every NHS test came back

TSH level increase after total thyroidectomy(8 years ago)
I am a 28-year-old man (90 kg). I had a total thyroidectomy 8 years ago due to papillary carcinoma. Recently, I had a knee surgery and during a subsequent blood test, my TSH level was checked and found to be 4.5. However, I had taken my medication (euthyrox 150mg) on the morning of this blood test. Therefore

Vitamin K Advice
I am running out of K2 capsules. I started with Vitabay drops, then Vitabay Tablets. Both were discontinued, so I moved on to Vegavero capsules. Now they seem to be unavailable. I was told I needed the all trans form (can't remember what that means!). Can anyone recommend anything with not too many

No stamina
I am confident I have my thyroid hormones at right level and most of my symptoms are gone. I am slowly losing weight, alert, happy, skin is better. My arthritis plays up hence the inflammation but my main issue is lack of stamina. I can only really do one thing a day after which I am wiped out and need

Pain everywhere.
I've been 10+ yrs searching for answers. I had some bladder problems in 2013. Doctors did surgery. I almost died. Apparently they told me my blood vessels looked funny. They didn't know if they "knicked " me or what but I lost 8 pints of blood very quickly. They barely got me transfusion in time. I chalked

optimal bloods?
Looking at my bloods I think they are near enough spot on? (Any input would be great). However I still feel terrible with severe fatigue & body aches. I am taking vit D, multi vit, iron (heme) and going to restart cortex adrenal. As my cortisol is coming back low. currently on 1 1/4 grain armour

Ferritin Levels/Hair Loss/Thyroid
Good morning I have started to loose my hair and the doctor is insistent its not a change in my thyroid levels, although my TSH has changed over the last couple of readings. So I was told to have a ferritin test and take vitamin D, I also take B12. Thinking that it would be low hence the hair loss

Vitamin D and Anemia: Insights into an Emerging Association
Found an interesting study. The conclusion sold it for me. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4659411/ CONCLUSION Vitamin D is associated with anemia in various study populations and recent evidence suggests that the association may differ by race and is likely specific to anemia of inflammation

Latest results and my plan...
Hello I am symptomatic of low B12 and/or Hypothyroidism. GP isn't concerned and advised me to take B12 supplements, but will retest Thyroid in 6 months time. My plan is to raise B12, Ferretin, Foltate, and Vit D to the top 25% of range and then see how I feel and redo TFTs. I am happy to pay

Thyroid symptoms or Parkinsons, an update to my previous post
A huge thank you to all the people who gave me such good advice! My FT3 is slightly up and my FT4 is slighty down, result! Going in the right direction. My Vitamin D is improving, I will continue to use BetterYou sublingual sprays (D3+K2) for this, and magnesium. My Vitamin B12 hasn't moved much,

I am in the throws of reading Chris van Tulleken's book Ultra-Processed People. It has been an eye opener. Not that one hasn't been aware of the harms of processed food but perhaps one has been unaware at how extensive it is and also how seemingly malicious for corporate gain? What does come out is

Prednisolone and osteopenia
Hi I had a Dex scan a few weeks ago and my bone density showed I have osteopenia, I was given calcium and vitamin D tablets to take twice a day. So would it help if I drank milk to help to augment this as I don't have milk normally but have yogurt. Thank you in advance for any replies. Peter.
