I’ve had Covid vaccine last Friday and I still feel rubbish. Tired, nauseous , dizzy and forgetful. It’s like my brain doesn’t work properly. This is vaccine number 5. I had number 4 last year at the same time as the flu vaccine and I was really poorly. But the side effects didn’t last that long. Is it normal?

Hi there. Like Jammin says. I had muscle aches and wanted to go to bed with the first shot, but not with the booster or subsequent shots. It's OK, but it becomes intolerable, see a doctor. All the best!
Certainly similar to my normal response to the vaccines. The first few vaccination were pfizer, for which I had little or no reaction.
They started with the Moderna spikevax last winter (with the flu vaccine) and it’s been since then that Ive had flu like symptoms lasting for three or four days after each vaccination.
frankly, I have concerns about the long term compounding effect of shots, I'm certainly not suggesting that has anything to do with your situation, I hope you feel better soon!
I had very horrid side effects prior to treatment. Just finished my treatment and had almost no reaction.
I think our bodies go a bit bonkers trying to mount a response. The good news is that those who get a worse reaction seem to get the better response in those who are immunosuppressed. I never found it lasted over three weeks, and mostly it was 10 days.
I always found it better in my right arm, because my spleen was very big and it seemed to upset it. X
Hello, Idalmis. We all seem to be unique in how we respond to our vaccinations. I have the same symptoms as you and more after each covid vaccine. With my first pfizer vaccine, I felt better after 3 weeks. Each vaccine after that has less side effects. My last one was Moderna. I was better after only 3 days of a miserable migraine, nausea, body aches, fatigue, arm rash. Hopefully, you'll soon be feeling better. Do rest, but activity will help you build your strength back up. Drink lots of fluids. Your body needs this to clean house and build those covid fighters.
I had a similar experience as yours two weeks ago. That was my 5th Covid vaccine (I had my 4th one In January 2022). I had a low grade fever during the first 48 hours, to as high as 99.9F, my normal temperature is usually 97.6F. I waited five days to resume my daily morning run. Hope you will get well soon.
