Hi, After a private hearing test I was told to give results to GP as left ear is noticeably worse than my right. I've had slightly worse hearing in my left ear for years maybe even 7 or 8 but it wasn't bad, just noticeably not as good so never really paid it any attention, I do very occasionally have

Hearing tests
Can anyone tell me why private audiologist do not have the excellent testing equipment that the NHS use? What is the point of buying expensive aids when the testing is inferior? Is it possible to obtain a copy of NHS test? Or does anyone know of private audiologist who uses the same equipment as NHS

heparin
after ivf for recurrent unexplained miscarriages? And if so when was it started and was it successful? Sorry if these sound like silly questions but just starting IVF and don’t really what to expect and also what it all depends on. Thank you all xxx

Heparin and wafarin at same time
Everything since ok, but my INR on Friday was 2.6 and the nurse said I should have
heparin
for the next 5 days. I wasn't happy but ended up having the script for them. I have taken 1 injection but just wanted to know if anyone else has had this occur to them.

Referral for MRI
Hi my audiologist referred me to have an MRI after my last hearing test. Nobody has explained why, but my own research has come up with acoustic neuroma. Any thoughts?

Hello I’m a 21 yo male in the USA. Sorry for the long post in advance. About 4 months ago I would get random dizzy spells usually they would happen after work. Or in a car typically at night time. I’m not sure how to explain the feeling but basically it felt like my eyes couldn’t focus on anything and

The best hearing aids that can help with tinnitus
I have tried the NHS in the past they fitted me for one ear, I didn’t feel that they were helping and were itchy in my ear. I think it depends where you live as my brother has NHS hearing aids fitted in London and they are great. I am returning the ones I got from spec savers, I didn’t feel that they

GPA relapse advice needed
Good Morning to you all. I was hoping someone who could advice me on GPA Replase. I was diagnosed back in April of this year spent over 2 weeks in hospital and treated with Rituximab and continue on steroids unable to tolerate Azathioprine so spent the summer reducing steroids down from 60 mg to 10mg

Couple of tips.
My 1st step was a hearing test from Boots. This showed the hearing loss in my one ear. I took this result to GP. The second, I hadnt realised that caffine can cause balance problems. Try cutting out caffine for a couple of months to see if this helps. 3rdly if you have been sat down for a while, when

Over Medicated & Under Medicated....and Tinnitus
My GP surgery have been fairly good listening to me (seeing various different DR's). After feedback in late summer of 2020, and agreeing to get my TSH down towards 1 (as I still felt lousy), they prescribed me 125mcg of levo (I'm about 92kg). Then winter Covid hit and it was impossible to get a GP appointment

An 'AN' future?
I had a review of my deteriorating hearing today following my earlier hearing tests and an MRI at Addenbrooke's five weeks ago. Today was actually an appointment with the audiologist for review of my hearing aids but she kindly popped round to the medics to see what the state of play is with the MRI

I’m in the exact situation as you are. You say all the things I have going through my head .
They put me on
heparin
IV drip and Coumadin , but Coumadin takes at least 5 days to kick in . And now I’m seeing a hematologist who does not seem to raise any RED flags or concern that my Lupus anticoagulant is so high , high Normal? Because it’s only one # away from being positive.

I went to Audiologist Thursday and she gave me a hearing aid after a hearing test etc.... Not sure if it helps today as my noise is loud and so is the background noise with the hearing aid. I seem to have 2 loud days and 2 low days... She suggested I get the wax removed, do G. Ps still do this? Hard

Followup to my post 8 months back, sudden jaundice and hemolytic anemia
Was discharged with
heparin
injections for 10 days and then oral warfarin to regularize INR. But on third day itself when he was taking the
heparin
injection he had a big skin bleed (eccymosis) at injection site.

Severe bruise - seek medical advice?
Currently on Enoxaparin (
heparin
) to thin my blood due to triple positive APS. Unfortunately on Saturday I was in an accident and have developed a severe bruise. It has been extremely swollen and painful to walk on (as it is on my leg and covers my entire upper thigh).
