Queen’s second try
I went to the second kidney transplant center. They were nice I learned a lot. The rooms were so tiny not made for a wheelchair for sure. I still made it. I have one worry. I only have one caregiver. I’m going to have to ask some friends to help me. The second center was nice, professional, and caring

Recovery post heart bypass.
My Grandad had a heart attack about 5 weeks ago, and subsequently was hospitalised. He then had a heart bypass just over two weeks ago, and thankfully he is now back at home. Since he came home he has struggled to sleep and has told my family and I that he is very dizzy, sick and tired. I can understand

Light-Headed
Hi, I have survived 2 'out of hospital' cardiac arrests. I had a triple heart bypass after the first in 2012 and an ICD fitted in 2019 after the second. 10 days ago, I started feeling very light-headed. I have had no change of meds (either dosage or type) . I take Ramipril, Amiodarone, Asprin, Bisoprolol

Update
As you were all so kind in replying to my melt down last night for which I was very grateful. Today as instructed rang my GP surgery dead on 8am ( I had numerous alarms going off to alert me to the time )to get a telephone consultation to discuss blood results and why a referral for echocardiogram.

Step-Dad's Health Deteriorating and Lack of Clarity and Communication from GP / Hospital
Hello - my first visit and post - sorry it's a long one! My step-dad (SD), 70, has had COPD for a number of years. He has other health issues such as diabetes and arthritis. In Dec 2019 he had what we thought was a bad chest infection - he ended up in hospital in early Jan 2020 but discharged the

Seeking advice re: end-of-life planning with family
Because of other health issues, my physicians tell me I’m not a good candidate for either dialysis or a
transplant
. I pretty much have mush for a
heart
. People choose dialysis because it can improve the quality of their lives; unfortunately that wouldn’t be the case for me.

Hello I would be interested to know whether any one has had a Liver Transplant with an occluded portal vein. if so what procedure was followed to by-pass the occlusion and what (if any) were the complications and side effects post Tranplant? I realises this question may not be allowed under current

Ectopics
Good evening. I have recently been given the option to begin Flecainide for my ectopic heartbeats or learn to live with them (I find this very difficult). I've had open heart surgery but although successful, it didn't stop the ectopics at all. I've been on bisoprolol which I don't feel has helped

Post Transplant Issues
I had a kidney transplant on 2/11/21 and at the same time I was diagnosed with Parkinsons. Is there anyone out there who is on both anti-rejection drugs and carbidopa/levodopa. I have been struggling to feel better for 17+ months. I get so agitated and my quality of life just isn’t there.
