Yes, it turns out I had quite a blockage in my portal vein. I think they just remove the affected part during transplant now. It didn't give me any complications after transplant.
My portal vein was completely occluded about a month before transplant, from when I had my transplant assessment I had to inject deltaparin twice a day to keep the blood flowing to my liver had a ct scan in the April when they told me it was totally blocked got THE call 8th May. I had to have a CT scan on the day of my transplant and the surgeon had to decide whether he could operate, he said yes but if I had to wait another 2 weeks I would have been inoperable. 95% of the clot was removed during surgery.
