Hi everyone, I wanted to bring awareness to a wonderful docuseries featuring Valen Keefer, who is thriving after receiving a kidney transplant as a teenager and years later a liver transplant. Maybe someone has already posted but totally worth seeing again.
Very inspirational and relatable. I’ve had my fair share of ups and downs and it’s great knowing there’s a community of us out there to share the experiences.
Thanks for sharing the link. I feel as if the anti-rejection drugs are having a kind of toxic effect on my wellbeing that I had not noticed when I first started taking them. I will watch the video to see if adapting to the medications is one of the "trials" that she explores in the series.
Tacrolimus can be toxic. It’s a delicate balance between helping suppress your immune system and potentially affecting the kidney(s). A good nephrologist will adjust your tacro levels appropriately over time.
