stopping apixaban
I’m due to have a procedure (balloon dilation) to help my swallowing next week and the ENT consultant wants me to stop my apixaban for three days prior to this, it’s not a surgical procedure but there is a chance of bleeding. I have recently had a cardioversion and as far as I’m aware I’m still in NSR

heart bypass graph
I’m still on the virtual ward. It’s been 3 weeks now. I’m waiting for a bypass graph. Has anybody been on a virtual ward and how long where you on it . I still got no news of my bypass graph. I’m just wondering how long people have had to wait for theirs. I’ve got a 99 per cent blockage in my left artery

Shaking Body & Cold Clammy Hands
Hi all Fortunately my AF episodes are few & far between 🤞, therefore I just take Flecainide as PIP when it kicks off, which it did at 1am this morning. I got up to go to the loo & when I got back to bed I couldn’t stop shaking, I was so cold, then the AF started. My question is does anyone suffer

Hi all, I'm a Newbie here.I have Asthma and COPD. I'm back on my Relvar ( after a brief change to Trimbow) which made my breathing worse. I just got prescribed an additional inhaler yesterday ( Incruse Elipta) I took the one puff yesterday evening and within a couple of hrs I was having palpations.

Why I stopped metoprolol
Quick summary: I’ve had one ablation, for A-fib, August 2022. All was well A-flutter began in August 2023. I’ve had five cardioversions since then, lasting from three weeks to three days. I am now in A-flutter awaiting an ablation on February 6. Success rate statistically is around 95%. Fingers crossed

I don't know what to do!!
Here is my situation. I have Atrial Tachycardia/SVT. I had a 14 day Holter that showed a 20% average burden of Supra ventricular Ectopy. I had an 11% burden of SVT. I had, on average, 20-30,000 ectopic beats every day, and 6-700 runs of SVT per day. Most of my episodes occur at night. From 10pm

Blood test after x-ray
Despite having a lingering cough, my mum has had no other systems but decided to see the doctor. They suggested she have an x-ray. Anyway, they've asked her to have a blood test regarding her heart. Her cough seems to be getting better and she doesn't feel tired, had any chest pains or any other

I have always been intolerant to a lot of medication and vaccinations
