Heart failure (HF) is a major public health and economic problem in Western countries and is one of the most common causes of hospitalization and death. Coronary artery disease is the underlying cause in more than two thirds of chronic HF patients. By 2020, the World Health Organization projects that ischemic heart disease alone will be the most important global cause of morbidity and mortality. The estimated increases in HF-related morbidity and mortality suggest that our understanding of the pathophysiological mechanisms of this syndrome is inadequate.
It does make you mad that these so called professionals don’t understand or care to understand that this could be a problem for us with thyroid problems….. it’s maddening!
When they took me off it as a trial, they wouldn't put me back on it when I suffered as a consequence. My endo said that it was was a new guideline and as far as the makers of that guideline were concerned (all male) it was a load of hormonal women complaining about nothing.

It is packed with research papers and was the result of Cardiologists and Endocrinologists coming together for the first time for research purposes. We need more of that - keeping conditions in individual boxes helps no-one !
I bought the book as living in an older ex-pat community I could observe the connections and was able to share the information....
