Slow irregular heartbeat?
Was diagnosed with arrhythmia last autumn, currently on edoxaban, flecanide and bisoprolol. About 20 hours ago my heart started beating irregularly, it is still slow (about 50 bpm) and seems to be missing a beat every 3/4 beats. NHS111 yesterday advised going to A&E where they did ECG and blood

The return of AF
Well, 8 months after my ablation for AF , it has made its unwelcome return. I started by feeling an increasing burden of SVE’s then noticed a different feeling which when I checked on kardia, confirmed that I am constantly slipping between slow AF, supraventricular ectopics and normal rhythm. Whatever

aortic valve surgery
morning all, I have had open heart surgery 8 weeks ago to replace my aortic valve. I have a mechanical valve now which I can hear ticking/thudding. Few days ago I could notice , while lying down, a few skipped heartbeats, naturally I got a little worried and also panicked which made the matter worse

Being a Little Cautious about Exercise
As hearties we all need to keep our exercise levels up up to maintain good
heart
health
, and certainly enjoy what we do, but I believe we must also be a little cautious in how we approach this, i.e. give your body sufficient time to recover after an event, and be mindful that you are not the same as

Low Heart Rate
But the only time I seem to get an ECG or EKG on my “
heart
health
” is when I have to go to A&E for a prolonged AF attack. I’m assuming most of us just keep taking these heart rate controlling drugs every day without a fuss even if they feel fine?

Thanks to you all
Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who replied to my previous post about my partner being diagnosed with emphysema. I spoke to a wonderful specialist nurse called Liz over the phone yesterday who reaffirmed a lot of what had been said. We spoke to his GP over the phone this morning and

Apixaban
I've had my Apixaban reduced from 5mg to 2.5mg, since this reduction I have had quite a lot of headaches. I tried to contact my GP, it would be easier to contact the Prime Minister. I do have other issues HBP, but it has remained stable for once. I also take Bisoprolol and a whole lot of other meds

Circumcised penis swelling
Hey can anybody help me find out when this swelling will go away ? I had circumcision 9 weeks ago. I am worried about this swelling on the bottom side of the penis. Shall I see a doctor? What type of doctor to see ? Will it go away or permanent? Please help with whatever you can. I am so worried. Thank

Endoxaban versus Apixaban
I have just received a phone call from my surgery pharmacist asking me if I would like to change from Apixaban to Endoxaban. I listened intently to what he had to say, it seems I fall into the criteria for doing this change. At the end of the conversation he said ‘ by changing it has considerable advantages

Paravalvular leak
I have a prosthetic aortic valve and have just been diagnosed a paravalvular leak. There is contradictory information on the internet: don't do anything until symptoms or treat with keyhole repair or treat with another open heart surgery replacement. I dread to think of a 2nd surgery, I also don't

where I’m at and what docs suggest
hello all I have occasional episodes of AFib up to 5 days a couple of times a year but have been having more shorter episodes for a few seconds or minutes at times, very occasionally at night when sleeping on my stomach. So a change. I take apixaban. My life is normal other than tiredness probably

Hi I’m waiting for a heart bypass I’ve got pre op in April I’m wondering if after surgery do you need to stay on Angina tablets for life or do they stop after surgery. Thank you hope you are as well as can be Sharon.

The old vegan vs other nutritional diet comparison persists
I have been following a strict vegan diet program since 2015. I began to hopefully slow or reverse my diagnosed heart disease. Did the conversion help with either? Who knows? It is, I believe, not something that can be definitely proven. But, I believe it has helped, so I’m content with the change. But
