Hypoadrenalism and hydrocortisone
Hello everyone, and very highest hopes for the new year, in every way❤️ My last few months have been very trying, and I’ll try to keep it short, but pretty much all the helpful advice I have ever had came from this forum, and I would be grateful for any thoughts before I carry the battle on to 2019.

Knee replacement and PMR
After seeing my latest knee x-rays, my ortho surgeon has added my name to the waiting list to have a total knee replacement (sigh). We discussed my ongoing weight loss and he was very encouraged by my efforts thus far, and I'm more determined than ever to drop another 20 pounds (and do my daily quad

Prednisolone diary 16 - review of the year
This is a summary of how steroids have treated me over the past year. I began 2018 on 4mg pred, but with daily nausea, headache and extreme fatigue. After discovering that I had adrenal insufficiency, my endo suggested increasing to 5mg, but before that experiment had gotten very far, I developed myositis

Zoon',s Balanitis
Go on then.... Google it! I did! I had never heard of it before being diagnosed: I can't say that I have learned much at all about it in the last 3 years! This forum is going to change all that,I know... What can I say, except that it itches like mad and is often very painful! Fucidin and Timodine creams

Very itchy, bumpy rash
Hi all, Any ideas on what this rash is? It started back in the summer and I just put it down to the very hot weather. However, it's getting worse and is now on my arms, armpits, stomach and sides mainly. I suffered from eczema as a child but it didn't look like this. I wondered about some sort of allergy

And this is me on a good day....
My extreme chronic fatigue has taken an extra twist as I add hydrocortisone into my steroid mix, and I'd be delighted if anyone has thoughts or experiences to share. I'm currently tapering methyl prednisolone and gradually adding hydro in as part of the taper (I have adrenal insuficiency). My regime

First asthma, then acid reflux, now eczema. What next?
Since end of September I have been struggling to get/keep my coughing (CVA) under control. Had 2 bouts of Pred. Changed inhaler to Fostair. Had blood tests and ECG and doc says I am as healthy as a horse. Suggested I have silent acid reflux and prescribed omeprazole which stopped the night time coughing

Hydrocortisone question
It was recently determined time to begin daily oral steroids for my son. We have been prescribed hydrocortisone, but it only comes in a pill form. There has to be an easier way to get a 10 month old to take his meds! Per our doctor, we tried mixing the meds will a small amount of liquid and giving via

What is the correct dosage of hydrocortisone after failing an acth test?
Im just back from my endo apt.. it wasn’t the doctor I originally saw or spoke to on the phone who prescribed me with 10mg HC. The doc I saw today and also an additional doctor came in to the apt as They both stated they did not think I needed HC as my second test I just missed it by 7nmol. They said

Moved back in!
Hello BLF friends I moved back on Friday after hospital. It was a long day. Still squashed on the sofa with an electric radiator, it’s -2 but it’s ok curled up under the duvet. See who keeps me company, and takes most of the room 😃 I’m joking She has been a most supportive companion actually. It’s
