First Enbrel Blood Test Result after three injections. Sorry, a ramble.
I am, I have to say, upset :-(. I have just had a little cry although my other fingers and knee (the ones not recently injected! or not since January) told me quite obviously, there is active inflammation there at the mo. Red hot knuckles which are stiff. They are the knuckles of a flare and I saw

New here. Test results diagnose Hashi's. Any advice/comments greatly appreciated.
Hi all, I have been lurking and reading here since March but this is my first post. I will apologise in advance as it will probably be long and rambling (foggy brain), so thanks in advance if you manage to bear with me through it all. Since a bout of laryngitis around 8 years ago when I lived

Aqueous cream and eczema advice.
Hi Allergy UK have some information on their website about the use of aqueous cream for eczema. NICE (National Institute for Clinical Excellence) issued guidelines in 2010 against its use when people have eczema but it is apparently still being used. Aqueous contains sodium lauryl sulphate which

cannulas
not 100% sure why, but recently, since i've had a lot of cannulas in i have been really really struggling with them. I think part of the issue is that i find cannulas in my hands to be absolute agony (to the extent i cannot move my arm or hand at all, cant tolerate people even moving my fingers, sometimes

Advice desperately needed - I have stopped my medication!
I desperately need advice before I speak to my GP tomorrow morning. Sorry for the length of this. In July 2008 Dr Peatfield diagnosed me as low adrenals/low T3 and T4 (urine testing: T3 below range, T4 very low normal, saliva cortisol below range). He thought my problems stemmed from weak adrenals

PUPPP / PEP / itchy rash
I have had itching all over my body, except feet, hands and face, for about the last three weeks. It started off without any rash, which was concerning in case it was Obstetric Chlorestasis, but two blood tests do not indicate any cause for concern in that respect, thankfully. However, the itch is getting

Obstetric Cholestasis?
I have been itchy all over (mostly bump, arms, legs and my back) for the past couple of weeks. I haven't noticed any itchy on the palms of my hands or soles of my feet. I think the itching is getting gradually worse, last night I woke up scratching. I can't see a rash. I went to the Dr about it a

Finally got some liothyronine prescribed - but why is nothing ever straightforward??
I've been a long term lurker on this site. I've learnt so much just by reading the comments on blogs and answers to questions so I can't thank you enough for that! Just to explain, I'm not the person in my family with hypothyroid problems. That would be my husband. Except - just to explain a bit more

fostair and hydrocortisone
Just a quick one, I've been changed from Seretide 250 (2 twice a day), Fluticasone 250 (2 twice a day) and 7.5mg of prednisilone a day, to Fostair 100/6 (4 twice a day) and hydrocortisone 20mg in the morning. These changes were made based on issues of adrenal suppresion and the testing of it and nothing

My body is refusing to play ball and I’m struggling to keep on top of everything.
I don't think I know what to do anymore. I feel like in some way I have messed up my treatment plan but I am trying my best not to blame myself as I know that’s not healthy and circumstances are really difficult for me at the moment. I have been ill at this level for a long time and I am struggling

Dosing Thyroid with Hydrocortisone
Would someone be able to tell me if there is anyway I can take Armour Thyroid during the day without HC. I've been doing T3CM at 4.30am with great results but has irritated my stomach that much I've had to stop. I could cry as energy much better on that protocol. Now I have (once tum settles and I hope

I hate to ignore people so just want to say thank you
To those who responded to my questions a few wks ago about low iron and high ferritin and t3 and hydrocortisone. Haven't been able to respond individually as just too much going on for me to deal with and my (small) support system has totally crashed and nothing seems to be working out at the moment
