This Year's (2017/18) Flu Vaccine
It seems some people with APS have no problems with the Flu vaccine, while others do. This year, my INR shot up to 7.7. And, I seemed to have some type of flare. I've been suffering for weeks after the shot. Professor Shoenfeld in Israel (and others) is doing work on adjuvant syndrome, whereby the flu

The problem with self-management
When you're diagnosed with a form of chronic lung disease one of the first things that you learn pretty quickly is that a lot of the management of the condition is down to you. In some ways that's quite empowering. Once I got to grips with some of things that I needed to do to help myself like regular

FLU
Hi all! A good friend of mine back in WI who had a liver transplant is in ICU with the flu bug that we have been hearing so much about on the news. Wonder what you are doing to stay healthy this winter? Would love to hear your thoughts? I think it's hard sometimes when at work, and someone that should

Pneumonia Shot
Hello all....was wondering if anyone on here got the pneumonia shot and if so were there any complications? I did get the flu shot last October a couple weeks after I got sinusitis and bronchitis because I thought I was feeling better. It's been 5 months and I'm still coughing. My hematologist said

Oreavus questions
I'm slated to start Ocreavus, but am worried about immune supression. M.S. causes a "misfiring" autoimmune system, but without it, dormant viruses such as herpies simplex 6, from chicken pox, are not kept in check. There is a shingles vaccine, but what are the ramifications? What are your thoughts

Flu?
So I had my flu jab back in October as usual but a few weeks ago I started to feel very unwell, I had a trip to see my GP who told me I had a chest infection. Over the next couple of days I became much worse, aching all over even my skin hurt, my temperature was low 35.3 even though I felt really hot

Flu Jab?
Has anybody here had the flu jab? If so did you have anyside affects? I'm thinking of getting one, as I've been very unwell for the past 6 months, I'm better now, but I've now got a very low immune system and i also work in healthcare, so I'm at a big risk of getting the flu. After hearing more and more

15 weeks and 2 days pregnant! Roughly 25 weeks to go
Just thought I would post a little update of how I’m doing. Today I’m 15 weeks and 2 days pregnant and still feels pretty surreal. The morning sickness is a lot better but hasn’t completely gone yet (seems once every 3 days rather than everyday now). Finally managed to go and see the nurse regarding

Still anxious about this (pls read previous posts) I was in the car mom was driving us home I’m calmly scrolling through my phone When I get this dull pain In my chest for about 30sec started on the left moved to the right then it just settled on both hurting. For 10sec After that I think I was hyperventilating

Flu shots
I've been reading a lot about how aggressive this year's flu strain is. Does anyone know if flu shots are advisable for those of us with Cll?

Flu Vaccine Issue
As you know, Flu (and Flu Complications) 'KILLS' many UK Patients each year. Media / News are reporting that NHS Patients eligble for the Influenza Vaccine, received the cheaper Trivalent Version that Protects against 'A' Strains but only one 'B' Strain of Flu (rather than the Quadrivalent Version that
