I am on long term steroids for polymyalgia rheumatica on a dose of 6mg. I am due to have Ozurdex injections in the future and wonder how this will affect my steroid load as I have steroid induced tripe 2 diabetes? Not sure if anyone here will be able to help. Thanks

Eye lid infections
Anyone else have this problem? In the last few weeks I have developed infections on the lower eye lid - a stye in the corner and an infected white spot in the middle. I was diagnosed with glaucoma in one eye 2 1/2 years ago and had eye drops since (plus surgery) but the problem only started recently.

Heart failure
I had a P and A in 2021 to stabilise my fast heart rate in Permanent AF. Although still in AF, I thought that was my heart sorted. Last year I had pneumonia and then at Christmas another chest infection, that has taken until now to sort out. As I am still breathless and very fatigued, I had a chest

my daughter (12) has asthma and also dysfunctional breathing so it can be hard to know which one is causing her breathing difficulties at any point. When well she has breathing episodes/ difficulties approx 3 times a week brought on by exercise or changes in the air eg smoke, dust, temperature. Sometimes

Hi everyone. I have recently been diagnosed with early on set glaucoma at 38 with currently no visual loss. I am absolutely petrified of what the future holds, I know I'm alright for a few years yet but realistically what is my quality of life going to be like when I'm older. If life gets too bad I'm

Has anyone else suffered from recurring infections in the tear duct? If so, do you have any tips for reducing the soreness and discomfort while I am waiting for the antibiotics to do their thing?

Charles Bonnet Syndrome
Yet another fascinating webinar( last Thursday 3 rd November) about this syndrome. This is usually repeated on You Tube in a few weeks. It may effect anyone with usually at least 60% sight loss. However it does not effect everyone, and some research is ongoing in the UK to determine the cause. Apparently

DRY EYES
Just an update on my dry eye situation. Optician recommended Hycosan night gel and drops during the day. The gel has certainly relieved my gritty eyes, thank goodness. But still have the problem. Went to hospital last week, am now down to 8mg steroids a day from the initial 40g. Consultant pleased and
