Anyone else have this problem? In the last few weeks I have developed infections on the lower eye lid - a stye in the corner and an infected white spot in the middle. I was diagnosed with glaucoma in one eye 2 1/2 years ago and had eye drops since (plus surgery) but the problem only started recently. After an eye drop I was using a clean tissue to soak up some of the wetness on the eye lid but I have stopped and leave it to dry naturally. Once a day I use a wet cotton pad to remove the crust from the eyelid caused by the drops.
Any suggestions on what I could do differently to prevent it happening again?
Many thanks.

Hello, The eye lid infection may be simple (most of the time) sometime may be not. If it is recurrent infection you should better see your GP to take the swab to exclude something unusual infection. You may need oral antibiotic or may be silent carrier to some form of bacterial infection which should be excluded. With best wishes.
I had infected eyelids; the consultant said it was blepharitis. He advised me to use Blephasol, which I started doing and still use every day. It’s very soothing as well as cleaning and a bottle, though quite expensive, lasts for ages.
