Postprandial Hypotension
For those in later stages of Parkinson's, who might be feeling sleepy, weak, or even falling after a meal, check your blood pressure. Postprandial hypotension, ("low BP after eating") can show up in as little as 15 minutes after a meal, and persist for 2 hours. This is typically not something that

Mucuna Pruriens and MDS Doctor consent
We all know how effective Mucuna Pruriens (MP) is in treating the symptoms of Parkinson’s versus the side effects of Sinemet. However, I am yet to meet a Movement Disorders Specialist (MDS) doctor who will approve of the supplement. This is an attempt to find out if anybody here in this forum has been

Dizziness & Sinemet
Hi, mum has been getting increasingly more dizzy (72 year old, diagnosed last year), is currently on 3 x 62.5mg sinemet. Has had blood pressure checked and nothing untoward. Does anyone have any suggestions? Dizziness affects her balance etc.. and makes her less mobile and in turn affects her mood etc

Rytary and Sinemet together
Has anyone tried Sinemet and Rytary together? If so, what are your observations of these two Parkinson’s meds that aren’t generic?

How long can I hope sinemet will be effective in suppressing symptoms of PD?
I take two 25/100 sinemet per day. I experience no symptoms at this time, diagnosed seven months ago. My neurologist said, see you in a year. I’m 72, in otherwise excellent health.

Annual neurological check
This morning I made the annual neurological check from my PD diagnosis of May 2018. The therapy was 2 tablet Sinemet 100+25 mg. per day. Compared to the previous control, has been confirmed the substantial stability of the general situation. Pull test ok, cognitive tests ok, engine tests ok, balance

Unable to take Sinemet.
I have PD and been on Azilect for a couple of years. I need to begin Sinemet per Neurologist but I never reached therapeutic dose before having severe reactions to the medication. Has anyone else been unable to take sinemet?

Colonoscopy while on Parkinson's Meds
My Primary Care Doc says I need a colonoscopy in a few weeks, but I have Parkinson's and I'm on a cocktail of drugs: Sinemet 25/100, Baclofen, Amantadine, Clonazepam, ad Sinemet 50/200 Extended Release ER (ER taken at night). I am hearing 2 different stories as to whether or not I can stay on my meds

How are people dealing with symptoms in the evening/getting to sleep?
I'm recently diagnosed, looking to avoid using sleep meds but my left hand, lower left leg and my left foot get really electrified and it makes it really hard to get to sleep. I take my last dose of Sinemet around 8pm but it typically doesn't touch these evening symptoms. I was prescribed Remeron,

Shortness of breath
Shortness of breath I appreciated the replies and the consensus is about breathing deeply, Especially exhaling. Louise Hayes says Parkinson’s is about not letting go so to learn to fully exhale is good medicine. As well as meditating. I am lucky in that I don’t experience on and off periods, taking
