I have suffered with severe RLS for over 30 years. At first with no sign of treatment I used strong pain meds which I regularly took too much of just trying to calm my legs down enough to sleep, that didn’t work. In 2005 I saw a right up in a Sunday news paper about a treatment called adartrel, this

Update
Hi ladies. I haven’t posted or even looked at this site for a few weeks now, as I defaulted to my usual stance of avoidance. If I don’t talk about it or read about it, it will go away. I’m in a better head space now and want to share the update, in the hope of some positive stories from anyone with

Rectal fissure - healed!
I'm not sure if this is the correct group to post in as I do not have IBS, however for 10+ years, I had a rectal fissure that just wouldn’t go away. I live in the Caribbean, have a healthy lifestyle and diet. Years ago, when first diagnosed with the fissure, I was prescribed Lidoprocto suppositories

Losing blood, mucus & clots very scared
A few days ago (Saturday 25th of November) I got very unwell with severe stomach, cramps, diarrhoea, weakness and hot sweats. I had to take all of my clothes off and lie on the bathroom floor and had diarrhoea for around three hours (this has happened to me in the past with no answers other than that

Annual PSA for well over 20 years, always good. 18 months ago, 5, which they tell me for my advanced age is "good". Urologist followup due to a kidney stone previous year 3 months after

Colonoscopy pain
Hi everyone 👋I had a colonoscopy last week Wednesday, and had some biopsies taken at the time, my endo pain was improving, it had been terrible for the 3 weeks prior but didn't want to miss this appointment as it had been booked for months so went anyway, since then the pain has been so much worse,

upper GI symptoms
Does anyone have upper gastro stomach symptoms? I’m currently going through horrible heartburn, gurgling and nausea. Already take 10mg omeprazole a day and now they’ve upped it to 30mg. Still churning and nauseous! It’s the daily nausea that gets me down the most

Bppv episode and pd symptoms
I’ve had pddv vertigo started over ten years ago with episodes every few years. It’s not a serious diagnosis. Crystals in an ear get dislodged causing the room to spin. I received treatment for it but now I have balance problems and my pd symptoms are worse. My MDs expects gradual improvement but for

Ibs pain
I have recently been diagnosed with ibs, well my doctor has said it’s ibs but I am awaiting further tests. I have been following a gluten free diet for about 2 months now, I have noticed that I am less bloated but that has been the only change. I am wanting to ask, does anyone else get woke up through

Newly diagnosed
Hi All, I've just joined this group looking to educate myself following a recent 2nd positive lupus test. I am waiting for a pheumatology appointment but no idea when that is going to happen so a bit concerned I am losing time on getting a plan in place. 30 years ago I tested positive for Anti Phospholipid

A case study post bariatric surgery
For anyone who has access to twitter, this case study posted yesterday might be of some interest. Probably as much for the discussion as the original case. (Don't get too excited! It is just another case where the origination of the problem doesn't get blamed. As I see it, the cause was iatrogenic and

unilateral tinnitus
hi there I’ve been experiencing a constant vibrating feeling in my right ear. It’s really loud when I’m lying in bed and easier to deal with in the day time. My ear feels blocked and muffled. I have minor ear pain (more like the odd shooting pain) and itchy ears. Can anyone relate?

Aspartame
Hi what is the current advice on use of aspartame particularly for liver sufferers. Since my diagnosis I've tried to cut out a lot of sugar in my diet and I've been consuming a lot of diet stuff. I use sweetner in my coffee and half and half on my cereals. I also consume a lot of diet drinks - Fanta
