Who knows about ferritin/ iron tests? Confused here! Do I need to do something? Help please!
I get confused with ferritin and iron results, as I can't remember how they work together. Ferritin is low, but haemoglobin is ok? My GP marked everything 'normal'. I'd be grateful for some explanation and advice on what to do please! I have felt more tired. In fact absolutely exhausted a couple of

Why cyanocobalamin injection is more helpful than hydroxocobalamin?
I inject cyanocobalamin three times a week and two times hydroxocobalamin a week. I feel difference between then but I think day after cyanocobalamin I feel less symptoms than days with hydroxocobalamin. So why cyanocobalamin injection is nit considered preferably better choice. I tried many cyanocobalamin

Rapid responses to daily subcutaneous B12 injections??
I was diagnosed with pernicious anemia and iron deficiency anemia 3 months ago. (I’ve had 2 iron infusions so those levels are better now.) The B12 injections are extraordinarily helpful. I’ve been getting them subcutaneously on a daily basis. (I can’t tell any difference between subcutaneous and intramuscular

Iron advice for my sister
Though you guys might be the best to ask. What is the best iron supplement going? My sister needed 2 iron infusions before surgery and could only get one due to poor veins. She needs an iron supplement and I said I would get it for her. I want her to have the one that will be most beneficial to her..

Functional vitB12 deficiency - anyone else?
I was diagnosed with a 'functional vitB12 deficiency' last year (I had high levels of MMA (methylmalonic acid) in my blood, but normal vitB12 levels in my blood as I had been taking max prescribed dose of cyanocobalamin) - which essentially means that although I have vitB12 in my blood, my body can't

Iron Infusion
After years of RLS, several years of struggling on ropinerole, and the last 2 years on Neupro patches & Topiramate. Yesterday I was given my first Iron Infusion as a treatment option for RLS. There’s been lots of research by a Dr Earley at Johns Hopkins into an iron deficiency in the brain of RLS sufferers

First Echo Since HF Diagnosis
After years of thinking my
anaemia
was
haemolytic
, it may not be the case. Ongoing blood tests will show one way or another if Angiodysplasia as had some bearing on it. Also, the letter shows why you have to be careful with what the technician implies after an Echo.

Iron infusions
I have Restless Leg Syndrome, and also low iron (without anemia). However, I'm not able to take iron supplements as they're upsetting to my GI tract. My doctor is recommending an Iron infusion (this is putting iron directly into the bloodstream to avoid the GI tract). I've heard that this works for

B12 injections
I am new to this sight and very thankful to have found it! I have been recently diagnosed with pernicious anemia and am suffering from incredibly bad GI issues because of it. I take my injections once monthly. After my injection my GI issues get better for about two weeks and then get worse again.

Induced copper deficiency by b12 treatment
Hi, So i had treated an b12-deficiency and experienced the "worse before better" situation. To make a long story short, this actually turned out to be an induced copper deficiency as my body rapidly started producing new red blood cells to correct the macrocytic anemia. This required increased mobilization
