Tracking your blood test results and much more
With
both
forms of CLL/SLL, tracking changes in your platelets and
haemoglobin
is a good way of assessing your bone marrow infiltration.)

Could a drop in ferritin levels be causing my fatigue, headaches and brain fog?
Haemoglobin
estimation: 139 g/L (130-180g/L) Is a drop like this normal? Could this be the cause of my symptoms? Many thanks.

Red Blood Counts - ET
The specialist nurse also said the
haemoglobin
is sometimes low as well. I go back in a couple of weeks, and she said if the counts hadn't gone up they would have to investigate why I was anaemic. I haven't had any bleeding from anywhere.

I've previously posted my FBC and Vit B12 results etc. (FBC normal, serum B12 is 254, but Active B12 120 currently waiting on MMA and homocysteine and a holter monitor result). What a farce! Here are some results anyway!
Haemoglobin
A1C - 5.3% (4.0 - 6.1) - I'm not diabetic. I had the dexamethasone cortisol test done - which is why I had my bloods done in the morning at my surgery as I had to take the tablets at midnight.

My story so far
Also my
haemoglobin
count was dropping. The doctor was alarmed. I started on steroids immediately. Because of the increase in the inflammation She wanted to start me on 40mg to zap the inflammation. I took her advice. 6 hours after taking the medication all stiffness was gone.

High ferritin, low haemoglobin
In 2009 my ferritin was 16 (15-350) so, according to my endo at the time ‘low normal’. Because I don’t tolerate any oral iron well, it took me five years to raise my ferritin level to a respectable 102 in April 2014. Then I reached menopause and I figured I would then be safe to stop wrestling with

Could I have Pernicious Anaemia?
This time ferritin was 12,
haemoglobin
was 12.8 and got B12 checked. Results showed B12 at 276 and folate at 4.3 I was concerned and called GP. I was basically told it was highly unlikely that I had P.A. and that I wasn't even B12 deficient as the range started from 200 as acceptable.
