Got to week 6 run 3 then stopped. Just couldn't face it. Been trying to control type 2 diabetes diagnosis with diet alone but 3 month check has shown it's time for medication. I've promised to try harder as I don't want to take meds so broke up from school yesterday and got on the running machine

My mother is 72 and diabetic since 15 years. Her hba1c level is 6.2 and her kft, lft, cbc, thyroid tests were normal. Her calesterol level is elevated hdl 72, ldl 98 but manageable. My main concern is that her weight is reduced to 37. She takes one 500mg tablet of metaformin and one 5 MG tablet

LDL / HDL Ratio, Is it a big deal
Good Day to every one: My blood work report (as of 12th Dec) revealed as Total Cholesterol 121 (normal) HDL was 48 (OK) LDL was 63 (OK) Triglycerides 78 (good) - due to the reason that this # was way above 200 six months ago. Cholesterol / HDL ratio was 2.5 (seems to be within range).

High-Fat, Low-Carb Diet
There hardly is a week a member comes along asking about diet and gets "served" high-fat, low-carb diet. Like everything, the extremes are always dangerous and even though such a diet might have helped some, there is also ample room for mishap and problems. Why not simply let everyone "google" for it
