Ablate or wait?
About 1 year ago I suffered with recurrent AF episodes usually overnight and they lasted from 1 hour to 5 hours. On two occasions I went to A&E and was kept in A&E overnight. I got a consultant appointment and he prescribed Flecainide 100mg twice per day and a spot on the NHS ablation waiting list.

I started on 100 mg before I went to bed this seemed to work with me only waking up once. It then got worse and I now suffer with pain across my shoulders at night aswell as in my legs, I upped

Magic plan week 3 run 1 x NRC “A New Run”
Today is a run rest day having been out yesterday and I’d planned a nice gentle swim. Having arrived at the pool sans swimming costume (oops) I thought it was best to do my recovery activity in the coffee shop instead. So here’s yesterday’s run report… The plan at the moment is to build back to 10k

11 months of vacatión and going strong, I think
Hello my fellow brothers. In 11 months of vacatión, my PSA has risen from point one to point seven. Still below one. My testosterone is still a little below normal, so I haven't felt the boost of returning to my youthful self, but I am feeling quite good and thankful. I am a former athlete (national

Buprenorphine SL vs transdermal
Hi. Can anyone weigh in on their experience or knowledge of the advantages or disadvantages of the different formulations of buprenorphine? I understand there is a risk of severe tooth decay with the sublingual formulation but is that only in the drug-addicted population? Has anyone had personal experience

Restless Pain syndrom
I never knew how little information and interest there was about RLS until I found this site. I mean rls has very severe pain and as a result I use to loose sleep every single night and had to try and catch up the following day. With a family and job that is impossible to. I went to a sleep study

moving to Eastern Europe
I’m wondering what meditation is available for restless legs in Europe and how enlightened Eastern Europe may be as to the use of Belbuca. I’m currently on 2 mg Neupro and 800 mg of Gabapentin. But I have used both Belbuca and Methadone in the past. I know there is a clinic on the coast in Kotor Montenegro

Bank Holiday walk instead of run ( warning -long ramble)
I woke yesterday intending to run however I had had another dreadful night’s sleep, my bursitis has been plaguing me at night and ruining my sleep lately. Strangely it doesn’t hurt when I run but I had only slept for a few hours and really wasn’t feeling it. My daughter had stayed over so she suggested

flare?
Hello all, I’m just entering my second year of PMR and I’m now down to 7.5 mgs of Prednisolone but the last week I have felt awful. Very tired, my body aches, no energy. I had a total knee replacement 3 months ago and I’m due to go back to part time work next weds. Should I increase my pred for a couple

Increased Methotrexate causing bloody urine/stools.
This time next week we'll be waiting to board the plane! Yesterday I notice what I think is frank blood in my urine and stools. Today it's still there and after telling Mark I've done a little online research and think the answer is my recent increase in Mt injection. I've been alternating between

Sintrom
I have been on Sintrom for 6 weeks now and it is really getting me down. I am vegetarian and have been told to watch my diet for Vitamin K (found mainly in green veg), no citrus fruits, berries, coffee, garlic, also not too much of certain other veg, chickpeas, beans, peanuts, there is a long list
