Dialysis / RLS
Wow, this sub is a lot more active than the Kidney Disease sub, one would think it would be the other way around. I guess RLS is a lot more prevalent than people think? I never experienced or even heard of RLS before starting dialysis but boy did it hit me hard. It's already hard to sleep while doing

Link between dry eyes and throat and PMRGCA? Any ideas?
This is my first post, so it’s a bit long-winded, as I’ve included some context and background. Context: • About 20 years ago, when I was in my mid-50s, I developed dry eyes and dry throat. This was eventually diagnosed as ‘dry eye/dry throat syndrome’. I had my tear ducts plugged to minimise loss

CARBIDOPA 25/LEVODOPA 100MG TAB For RLS
I know this drug was talked about in relation to Parkinson's. My doctor has prescribed it for my RLS when I travel in an airplane. I am only to take no more than 3 tablets per week. Has anyone used this for traveling? Any help? Side effects? Comments, please.

Ropinirole withdrawal
Hi all, newbie here. I was prescribed Ropinirole about 6 months ago, in May my ankles started to swell and got burning sensation in my feet. Saw GP again and he said it is probably diabetic neuropathy but my sugars are well controlled, anyway he put me on amitriptyline. Either of these meds was making

Ovestin and ivf?
Ok, so I had an ectopic from ivf which resulted in removal of part of one of my ovaries. I have been prescribed with Ovestin (estrogen cream) as a result as I am very dry and itchy down below. I know I need to stop this before my next transfer but want to take it until the latest possible date before

Switch to Mucuna
Apologies if this has been asked and answered earlier. I am looking for a guide to switch from C/L to Green tea/Mucuna. Is there a method to calculate green tea against equivalent carbidopa doses? Is brewed green tea better or green tea extract capsule? Is there any interaction between green tea and

Bank Holiday walk instead of run ( warning -long ramble)
I woke yesterday intending to run however I had had another dreadful night’s sleep, my bursitis has been plaguing me at night and ruining my sleep lately. Strangely it doesn’t hurt when I run but I had only slept for a few hours and really wasn’t feeling it. My daughter had stayed over so she suggested

Changing brands
My Pharmacy has been messing around with my ropinirole. The last batch I collected was in a small round container and the pills were so tiny. I take 0.5mg x 5 tablets per night (total 2.5g) the normal round pills worked just fine. Now these weeny little ones are making my rls bad again, I fail to

Increased Methotrexate causing bloody urine/stools.
This time next week we'll be waiting to board the plane! Yesterday I notice what I think is frank blood in my urine and stools. Today it's still there and after telling Mark I've done a little online research and think the answer is my recent increase in Mt injection. I've been alternating between

transition from pramipexole to gabapentin
My GP initially prescribed me pramipexole which I have been taking for the last two months (one 88 microgram tablet) around 10 pm. This successfully stop my restless legs but, through this forum, I learned of the danger of augmentation. Having drawn this to the attention of my GP he agreed to switch

Ropinirole, Pramipexole and etc
Hi community, It's been years since I last wrote here as my RLS is quite mild. Few years ago it was quite under control even mild episodes. I used to take 0.25mg of Ropinirole (Adartel) in case of episode and it would work very well. I moved from London to Finland few years ago, and last year I started
