I have really bad RLS. I took pramiprexole and had every side effect. I went through augmentation and went through horrible withdrawal. I did try gabapentin when I was on the DAs and felt super doped up in the morning. I ended up stopping taking it. After I got of the DAs I tried without meds hoping that I could control it with diet but that didn’t work eventually I went through morphine, oxycodone and finally I am on10 mg of methadone. It works the best for me. But now I have developed obstructive sleep apnea from the methadone.
I am curious if anyone has gone from methadone to gable or pregabalin and had success controlling their system?

I can't answer your specific question but if you come off methadone do so very slowly to avoid withdrawal effects.
You might want to try pregabalin. Although it is basically the same drug as gabapentin except you don't need to divide the doses, and the side effects are basically the same, some people find that the side effects that bother them on one don't bother them on the other. Beginning dose is usually 75 mg . It will take 3 weeks before it is fully effective. After that increase it by 25 mg pregabalin every couple of days until you find the dose that works for you. Take it 1 to 2 hours before bedtime as the peak plasma level is 2 hours.
If you find yourself drowsy in the morning you could take Adderall or Ritalin.
