SWITCHING TO INSULIN INJECTION FROM ORAL
As a Type 2, I have been managing my fasting sugar level of around 120 since the late 90s very successfully by following the devices of my USA-qualified Endocrinologist. My regular diet centered around LCHF with Diamicrone 80 twice a day. Covid-19 changed my whole system. After taking the 2nd dose

Itchy skin with no rash
Iron and ferritin were good levels when tested in October 22 (I had supplemented in the past few months) I've been prescribed PPI's again (had been on them for years due to HH and gastritis, then weaned off) Following a low acid
diet
and
gluten
free
since then. Repeat endoscopy is in 4 months.

Analysis please on my sister’s results from Ireland - Hashimoto’s and cognitive issues - mainly short term memory
She is now “
gluten
free
” and taking no artificial sugars.
Diet
changed to include more leafy veg. fruits, avocados, nuts, organic oats; no tinned fish. (She ate lots of tinned tuna in Sydney - mostly every day, and dairy milk chocolate).

What was left
Gluten
free
, lactose free and back on fodmap
diet
and a bowel health plus probiotic supplement, made from Kiwi fruit. Tasted nasty but I persevered. Nothing has worked and I have had numerous tests, probes and samples taken with gastrology.

Not happy with results
I try to stick strictly to
gluten
free
diet
, 8 months now. (Not sure how strict it is since
gluten
is airbourne and I live with three other adults that cook from scratch, including baking.) Stopped B12 two weeks prior, but had changed onto spray supplement. So pplease with the increase.

Hashimoto’s
I supplement Vit D and B Compound and have
gluten
free
diet
although symptoms continue. (Vit D was at low end of range in Nov so have increased dosage). Due to see Endo again in Feb although I am wondering if there is a possible pituitary issue or something I am missing.

hi I've been on here for some time and not taken the first step to gain control....I've read loads and know what needs to be done but not put into practice. I've been trying to retire gracefully from my work as a podiatrist, the transition has been difficult. I'm coming up to my 69th birthday and

I haven't really seen this but what all do you eat? I'm not yet there and at 17% I'm mostly eating plants. So if I was on PD can I eat what I like while sticking to healthy food but what about high potassium foods like potatoes, tomatoes, cantaloupe, bananas and the like? Since I am taking meds for

At the end of my tether...
I'm on 175mcg a day,
gluten
free
and have cut diary. My
diet
is good, I supplement and get plenty of rest. I dont know what else to do. I really need some kind of hope. I've just lost my temper in front of my little boy and threw my phone against the wall as I've had days of feeling terrible.
