Immunolgist consultation and results

Good morning all,

I had quite an upsetting consultation yesterday. I was advised to switch to strictly gluten free diet (!!!!!) and that I will need steroids and G CSF for my transfer....

Has anyone any experience with G CSF? Cost and most importantly , side effects?

Ask the clinic to explain the side effects I believe the most common side effect is fevers & chills Good luck with your treatment

Hi lovely, I've not tried it (it was next on my list if this last transfer number 6 hadn't worked). But I did do quite a lot of reading up on it and it didn't sound too bad.

I think it depends on the dosage.

I did take steroids for this last cycle and the only side affect was an increased appetite.

I don't have any experience of G CFS (yet!) but just wanted to say sorry you had an upsetting consultation. We never know what fresh challenges these consultations will throw at us and it can be hard 😪 But try to stay positive, I suppose it's good that your clinic wants to try different things (many refuse to think outside the box, which can be tough to accept) and maybe this will be the magic bullet for you xx
