We are trying taking
glucosamine
and chondroitin supplements. Is there anything else we could do? I would hate to give this up!

👽Return of the Alien 👽
Yesterday morning I went to my appointment worried but also convinced that the Arimidex side effects would be the answer and I had already researched
Glucosamine
as a remedy . Then my kindly gynaecologist looked very seriously at me and then dropped the bombshell. There were two worrying changes .

Methotrexate & Supplements
And I take
Glucosamine
, Chondroitin, Cod liver oil, MSM, turmeric and Vitamin D every day. I also take Folic avid (but not on methotrexate day). My sister who is newly diagnosed has been told by her specialist not to take supplements but mine has said nothing.

Back at it
December 2017 I started my week 9 but had to recover from something called pattelofemoral pain syndrome (due to age and other things) so lots of Physio and some supplements like
glucosamine
and other anti inflammatory meds.

Gabapentin with 'natural' medicines
I've just started taking Gabapentin but wonder if there are any contraindications with using natural medicines, like
Glucosamine
, MSM, Rosehip etc for arthritis.

Joint and bone aching pain
Last week I was prescribed Co-codamol, Naproxen and Omeprazole which I am taking (along with my usual
Glucosamine
& Chondroitin MSM, Cod liver oil, Calcium and vitamin D). Applying heat to a particularly sore area helps a bit, but was wondering if anyone has any other advice which might help.

Pharmacist's interview
She also asked about supplements and I said I take turmeric, vitamin D, selenium,
glucosamine
sulphate and magnesium. She approved and was happy with my replies. Never had this before - is it something new?

What has helped your pain the most after VM?
For me, I added
glucosamine
and magnesium supplements to my daily intake. (Calcium & potassium have always been a great aid in leg pain for me as well, thats just an old running trick I had.) I could not have made it without my heating pads and tens units.
