New member. Need help understanding symptoms please...and test results
Hi I wrote on here last week outlining my symptoms (sorry don't know how to add to that post), so I'll just detail where I'm at and would really appreciate your input. I had some fantastic responses to my original post which helped me understand things much better (re: TSH levels and T4). I was advised

Where is the best placed to get advice?
Hi all, I feel like I'm lost at sea a little at the moment. So I was finally, diagnosed with Hypothyrodism about a year ago. I changed GP and asked for blood tests because I had another miscarriage (that was number 3) and they checked my thyroid as well as blood glucose (type 2 diabetic). They then put

Fingerprick test: why not the earlobe?
I've just ordered my fingerprick tft just in time to read the post about how sore your fingers get, and when I did a site search (to reassure myself lol) I found a post where someone recommended taking the blood from the earlobe. Now Idk if you've ever had your earlobe snipped during a haircut, but

Eat chana daal (Bengal gram daal) since it has lowest GI index of all foods
It has almost no effect on your blood glucose level. This is something that is very important to anyone with diabetes and to many other people as well. Technically, it has one of the lowest indexes of any food on the glycemic index, 8 (where glucose = 100). Its index is 5 according to one study and 11

Seven essential vitamins as we age.
By the time we hit our forties, our body starts to change. I'm new here. I need help with lab results and what to say to endo consultant
I had Graves' disease just after I turned 22 and had RAI treatment nearly a year and a half after diagnosis. I have been on levothyroxine for 15-16 years before an endo consultant put me on T4/T3 trial last year March. I managed to get a copy of my latest blood test results yesterday to bring with me

Healing beta cells without drugs
Can improved diet, stress reduction, and/or exercise heal beta cells? If “resting” them is important,
eating fewer carbohydrates should give them a chance to recover.
Another way to take pressure off beta cells is by lowering insulin resistance.

Baloo the Bear.
Here's a rather inspiring story. But before reading it should be emphasised that this person was diagnosed as a T1 diabetic, where there is NO insulin present with a non functioning pancreas. If anything his story should inspire you as a T2, as in all likelihood your pancreas can be returned to functionality

What to do next?
Sorry for the long post but I feel so desperate I don’t know what to do next. I feel like I’m a nuisance to the medical profession but I cannot go on living like this. I’m a 37year old mother of 4 children who feels like the life is draining away from me. Previous to 2014 I was active, energetic person

HI every one. Im a 54 year old Male. I actually started C25K late last summer with most runs around a local park. doubt regarding insulin sensitivity and insulin secretion
whenever i ate my meal the blood sugar spikes to 150-160 mg/dl after 2 hrs(pp). and it comes down to normal value to 94 mg/dl after 5-6 hrs of having a meal. i have 2 doubts, if my body is insulin resistive means,,my body have enuf insulin ,,,than why this blood glucose value degrades after 5 hrs,,
