Do try this at home! Reversing metabolic syndrome, silver bullets?
hi folks, over the last year I’ve positively moved a number of my metabolic metrics that have a big impact on cardio and general health and wanted to share. BMI down from 26 to 24. Blood Pressure meds reduced by 30% fasting blood glucose down from 6.2 to 5.2 I am no expert, I can only say the three

Distortion of Hba1c test with levo
Hi Someone asked me to give further info about my claim that HbA1c tests cannot be relied upon if you are being treated with levothyroxine. I can't find that request now so I'm starting a new thread. The clearest statement is on the American Thyroid Association website.

How does restless sleep affect morning blood sugar?
Hi - I notice that in the nights I have problematic sleep - up many times despite good methadone treatment - my blood glucose if over 100, but then is normal after meals during the day. Do any of you have trouble controlling blood sugar after a bad night of struggling to get some zzzzs?

Blood pressure in AF
I'm just back in sinus after a 48 hour paroxysmal AF episode (trigger unidentified). Curious about BP readings. This morning, back to normal, it's 126/66 with PR 47 , no irregular heart beat indicator. Yesterday morning it was 89/50 with PR 50 and showing IRH. Am I right in thinking BP readings in

Omentin-1 Levels in Hypothyroid Patients with Autoimmune Thyroiditis
The number of things related to thyroid function just keeps growing. I have no criticism of the authors - who are simply reporting what they saw. But if Omentin-1 is relevant, then let us see more research! No - I have zero understanding of Omentin-1 - none at all! This is just a search - which found

Late onset type 1 diabetes?
Husband diagnosed with cirrhosis a couple of months ago, fibroscan reading confirmed this but no varices and no ascites. Waiting to hear back further from gastroenterologist on this. In the meantime, the metformin he had been prescribed for T2 diabetes didn't seem to be working, still had all the symptoms

Potential gestational diabetes, late diagnosis; seeking reassurance!
Hi everyone, I'm very new here, found this website through the NHS! I am currently 33+5 days pregnant and last week (at 32+6) my fundal height was measuring very large (36 to 37 weeks) and an ultrasound confirmed baby is likely very big, weighing 3.08kg already. We have decided to go for an elective

Increasing B12 levels, . . . & effect on FBG ( - fasting blood glucose) - any known relationship or correlation ?
. . . things of course will/may start happening as long depleted B12 levels are begun to be restored. Positive changes, one hopes . . . ! 😊 . . . is this known to effect fasting blood glucose levels generally, even if transiently, . . . as things get working again on a cellular level ? Shall appreciate

Greetings
Hello all. I joined this forum today as my doctor has told me I need to get from 87kg, 13.7st, 191.8lb to 70kg. That is a loss of 17kg, 2.7st, 37.5lb. This is assuming my conversions are correct. Recently I was diagnosed with Diabetes T2, Metabolic Syndrome, and Multifactorial chylomicronemia syndrome

Switching from levothyroxine to NDT: your experience?
Hi beautiful people, I shared many posts here on the forum of how I've been trying to increase my levothyroxine for months and still struggling with the side effects - pulse increase, BP going up, hyper symptoms while hypo, etc. At this stage, I've been at it for 8 months and I still haven't found
