Anal pain after BM
I have had IBS C for several years but manage it mostly by using Laxido But recently it's been causing me to wake up about 4.00am and have a bowel movement But then about 30 / 60mins later I suffer really bad anal pain and burning sensation that can last for hours. Does anyone suffer the same pain

Spider Angioma?
Hi there - What might this be? I've had this kind of mark on my abdomen for many years (since I used to live in West Africa) but recently it looks to be getting more pronounced or "longer" across my abdomen (horizontal). After I shower or work out, it seems like the vein-aspect goes away and its just

AIH/PBC - Result of MRI - Update
UPDATE 9.8.2021 MRI showed fatty areas on liver. Gallbladder is contracted. Consultants says no issues. If that's the case, why mention the gallbladder being contracted. I have researched and found that being contracted would be classed as okay in the morning, but I had my scan at 5.20 in the evening

Possible AIH
I'll try to be quick so here goes. I went to the gp Jan 2020 as I was tired all the time and generally didn't feel well. Got some bloods done, raised ggt but thar was it, was sent away with answer. By July that year the tiredness was worse and had an odd pain upper right quadrant. More bloods done and

Raised Gamma GT - won’t come down despite no alcohol
Hello I am hoping there will be people here who have some expertise and able to advise me further if possible. I have had several repeated blood tests where my Gamma GT result has been raised. It was 65 and now it is 71. I used to drink a reasonable amount (14-20 units a week) but since the first abnormal

Kidney issues post liver transplant
Hi I'm 1 year post liver transplant, but my kidneys seem to be taking a hit. My GFR is reducing at each blood test. It is now 39 and drops by about 5 every time. They've not said if it's now CKD but I'm worried as the internet says 39 is stage 3B. They have reduced my tacrolimus to 1mg twice daily,

Advice needed - deranged lfts
I’ve had deranged lfts for a few years but my recent results led my GP to do a full liver screen with auto antibodies and hepatitis panel. This was all negative. My abdominal ultrasound was also completely normal with no evidence of fatty liver or gallstones. My ALT was 191, ALP was 175 and GGT was

Is a Fibroscan more accurate than ultrasound?
Hi, I'm new here and this is my first post. I wish I'd found this site and forum years ago! I was diagnosed with PBC eight years ago and have been taking Ursodiol ever since. A Fibroscan showed cirrhosis at that time with a reading of 35 kPa. I had scans every two years since then until my last reading
