Carvedilol and Urso bowl changes
I’ve been on cavedilol medication since May 2023 and Urso since 2022, up until a few weeks ago I’ve suffered a lot of dioreah which started when at the same time when when the Dr prescribed me ferris sulphate for low iron. I know this has a lot of gastric issue so stopped that a week ago. I still have

varices grade 2
My consultant physician did a surveillance Gastroscopy which showed 2 varices grade 2, as I was taking Carvedilol twice daily he has decided no further action is required. Having had a burst varice in the past which put me in hospital for a week. I am confused to why he’s decided not to band them surely

Living with alcohol related cirrhosis- I know it varies but whats "normal"?
I was hospitalised with decompensated liver failure in July this year. Diagnosis is cirrhosis, portal hypertension and hypertensive gastropathy. Finally got FibroScan
Some of you may remember I was diagnosed with NASH Cirrhosis on a CT scan a few months ago. I then had a FibroTest which showed F3 fibrosis. After months of waiting I finally had the FibroScan done last week and results are kpa 11.9 which is considered cirrhosis 😞 in NASH patients. I didn’t get a CAP

Cod Liver oil in TTC? Mega confused 🫤
Hey! Sooo this is probably really random, but after my last failure and trying to recover from hysteroscopy I’ve been looking at what supplements to take generally and also to improve my lining. One thing that came up was fish oil. I used to take a cod liver oil supplement up until last year when

Fibroscan update
Hello. I had a fibroscan at a BLT roadshow 6 months ago which scared me as it was 11.7kpa and cap 218. I'm a 45yo female. I was sent for an ARFI ultrasound after this by my GP, which scored me as being at the lower end of F2 fibrosis ( 1.25m/s) with mild to moderate fatty infiltration. The ultrasound

Needing advice/suggestions re tweaking NDT
Hello everyone: Hope you’re all doing as well as can be. So, I’m presently taking 90 Erfa + 25 Synthroid, all at once upon waking. I need to make some changes because I’ve lost half the hair on my head, gained 7 lbs and can’t loose the weight, diet has not changed. Been on NDT for the past 2-3 years

Why so grim....
My question is to the British liver trust. Do you know why the hospital consultants say to you maybe have 3 years to live after a stomach acities drain and decompressed cirrosis. yet many people here are saying they are living a good life. İt's cruel to give that information and then share it with your

Liver Palms
Hi everyone. I have been diagnosed with fatty liver and have the red "Liver palms" I have been told this is a warning sign for a damaged liver. I have been abstaining for 2 weeks now.Can anyone tell me roughly how long this will last or does it only go away when my liver is back to normal? Thanks in

misdiagnosed cirrhosis?
I was diagnosed with cirrhosis approximately a year ago. Had all the classic symptoms with ascites being the worst. Every time the gastroenterologist sent me for an MRI, the ascites has interfered with the test. He reluctantly gave me a diagnosis of cirrhosis when pushed but didn’t seem confident. Been
