Experience, thus far with Lupron and Abiraterone
I am 78 years old. I was diagnosed in May 2022 with PCa after my PSA was measured at 23.79. I have no other health issues. Following the determination that PCa was still within the prostrate capsule and had not spread to any other organ, I was placed on Lupron (6 monthly IM injections for 2 years). Clinically

HRT anyone?
Hi all, I was diagnosed with Lupus last June. Luckily my symptoms are mild - and my rhumatologist agreed that i didn't need to start hydroxyholorquine if I didn't want to. I'm definitely peri-menopausal and a lot of "symptoms" of lupus overlap with perimenopause and my rhumatologist agreed it's

Testosterone increase after injection
I recently had my 6 month dose of Camcevi 42mg and my testosterone went from 7 t0 55 rights after the injection. My PSA remained the same at 0.1 . Is this normal for my testosterone to jump 48 points. Oncologist says he is more concerned with my PSA. Also the injection of the Camcevi was in my lower

Ablation/S-ICD Recovery Time - why is it taking so long?
Bit of a long one… Hi all, I’m currently recovering from a 4 week hospital stay and struggling with the recovery period. I was admitted for investigation due to a high burden of PVCs which were making me very symptomatic. I had a previous diagnosis of low burden of PVCs, as well as mild dilated cardiomyopathy

What is an ICM?
An Insertable Cardiac Monitor (ICM) is a small thin device that is inserted under the skin on your breastbone to record the activity of your heart. It can remain in place for up to 3 years. The device will capture and record 'episodes'. The recorded data will be collated and assessed and help to diagnose

B12 result after 6 months…
Hi, So initially in October I was diagnosed with what they suspect to be pernicious anaemia, I had a negative IF test but due to me having diabetes and no other factors which could indicate why I was so low in B12 they put it down to me having pernicious anaemia. I had 6 loading doses after which my

Has anyone had medication changed from bisoprolol?
My previous posts were related to my mum and her anxiety. Mum has permanent AF. We ended up going private to see a consultant and mum had a monitor for a week to monitor her heart rate. The results did show that her heart rate was high - around 160 was the higher results. The consultant increased bisoprolol

B12 prescription cancelled by pharmacist
Hello - I was diagnosed with B12 deficiency around 15 years ago. My GP at the time said that I had Pernicious Anaemia and was unable to absorb B12 from my food. Apart from a gap in 2016 when my then GP said that I had too much B12 in my system, withdrew the injections for a year which resulted in my

Mum update (CBD)
Thought I had finally better give you all an update on mum. Mum had a fall back in Feb which resulted in a broken nose and slight skull fracture, still mobile unaided at this point, but with falls risk. Admitted to hospital after 24 hours in A&E, finally getting a bed in a ward. Ward then had changed
