When to take bisoprolol ?
Hi , My husband is on 7.5 in the morning and I’ve reduced him to 5 in the evening as he has been so tired all the time . They only upped it by 2.5 when I rang heart function nurse when his ecg on his watch was creeping up to 130 . He was on digoxin before which seemed to keep his ecg around 89/90 but

Possible lupus???
Had graves years ago, was brought on by pregnancy, it levelled itself out. I went to the doctors to get bloods as I thought it maybe back. My Thyriod has came back fine, however my Immunoglobulin G and M levels are high.. I'm calling the doctors tomorrow, but wondered if this could be a sign of lupus

bile ducts
I had a blood test few weeks back result was Alp 177and Alt 50. GP repeated them and they came back Alt 30, Alp 139 BUT GGT 105 which wasn’t tested previously. I paid to have an ultrasound scan which showed intrahepatic bile duct dilation of 3.6mm. Everything else was ok in terms of liver gall bladder

Sjogren's and eyes
I suffer with sjogren's and have been seen by many eye Dr's at my local hospital that is Addenbrooke's Cambridge. The last Dr I saw told me I had tried everything I could try. My eye's have been reasonably good on very calm days but a windy day upsets them and now the colder weather. The thought

cardioversion
How do people feel being in persistent AF? I have an appointment for a cardioversion pre op on Thursday after being told after an angiogram that everything the arteries were fine but I was in persistent AF. I have no symptoms and feel absolutely fine, the consultant did double my bisoprolol to lower

PSA Test less than four weeks post surgery
I am four post surgery today. I met with radiologist yesterday to discuss pathology report and future treatment. Pathology showed positive margins and 1 of 4 lump nodes positive. MRI, CT and Bone Scan were all negative prior to surgery. I think he is thinking Hormone asap with radiation as soon as

Covid and thyroid hormones
I got Covid for the first time 2 weeks ago, still testing positive although the line is very faint, but still there. I didn’t really need the test to tell me that as I’m still feeling utterly crap. My thyroid problems have been ongoing for around 4 years now (no formal diagnosis) and I’ve also had low

Arrhythmias with minimal exertion

I will provide some info and am hoping others will chime in with ideas. History: I realized back in July that my heart

low heart rate
hi, I was in hospital 6 weeks ago with a bad attack of A Fib. Came as a shock as I’d had palpitations on and off for a few seconds but nothing lasting hours. I was given Bisopropol and edoxaban to go along with the Ramipril and Amlodopine I was already on. The beta blocker must have worked as I went

ED no more
My case is unusual in as much as I was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer four years ago. A bone scan identified many areas where I had bone mets, even one between my shoulder blades on my spine that looked like structural surgery was inevitable. My PSA topped 1000 and I had zero treatments of any

Lp(a) results are in ….
I’ve recently had bloods taken to test for FH and Lp(a) levels. I had a heart attack in 2022 at aged 51 and was started on a whole ton of medications afterwards including Atorvastatin 80mg and then a bit later adding in 10mg Ezetimibe. My LDL cholesterol has not been able to reach the target of 1.4

It all started with a purple toe!
I've had high cholesterol for more than twenty years and although I've been prescribed statins, have never continued taking them until recently when I developed a purple toe. The doctor was concerned it was an embolism and I was sent for several tests and to see a consultant. It appears from an ECG
