reducing atorvastatin

thanks you for all your replies, really useful hearing other people's experience. I can't get a Drs appt for three weeks, so think I will take the statin every other day until then. Missing sleep is affecting other areas of my overall health. My cholesterol is only 3.5, but I do have serious plaque and calcium biuld up in three arteries, and although statins won't reduce it, they are supposed to stabilise it long term.

Hello :-)

I am sorry you have to wait 3 weeks for a Doctors appointment but it will soon be here :-)

Maybe talk to the pharmacists who do your repeats about what they think about you taking your stains every other day while you are waiting to see your Doctor

Even though your cholesterol is good at 3.5 there are so many other factors that go with that figure to why the professionals want us to take statins

You have to do what you think best though :-)

Let us know how you get on :-) x
