Monthly bleed post oophorectomy

Following both ovaries being removed in April, I'm still having the monthly cramps and some light bleeding. Anyone else had this? I'm now concerned that there may be remnants of the ovaries left behind!

I had my ovaries removed in November and have had some bleeding on and off since, mine isn’t regular but my periods never were either. I went to see my GP who examined me and referred me quickly to the hospital Gynae. I had an ultrasound and saw the consultant (it was my Endo consultant, but I think that was luck), who also did a pipelle biopsy.

Everything was fine and he said it’s just breakthrough bleeding because of the HRT I’m on - Evorel Conti. But it was good to get it checked out and be reassured.

I don’t know if you’re on HRT or not, but it’s probably worth getting checked out.

If they only removed ovaries you may still get some bleeding from your womb lining at some point especially if your on HRT I had everything removed because of the cancer gene I have so I don't have experience of what your body would do with just the ovaries removed I hope things improve for you
