Failing at School
My depression and insomnia have been hitting me really hard these past couple of months and it’s been severely impacting my class attendance at college. I have a morning class that I think I might fail just because of low attendance. I woke up this morning and after realizing I had slept through my class

Klonopin help please
Does anyone know how long it's supposed to take to work? I've had treatment resistant depression for 20yrs. Just started viibryd but my anxiety is unbearable. 24/7 panic attack and can't sleep. Dr gave me .5mg twice/day yesterday but hasn't done anything. I do nothing but cry. Anyone have any ideas

I’m new here…
My husband (66) newly diagnosed with full blown CLL, otherwise good health. Just started on Imbruvica this week.. just trying to learn everything about the journey we are on. Waiting to get the results of the FISH test done a week ago.

How to prepare for private blood test.
Hi I have ordered The Advanced Thyroid function test from medichecks. It says I need to stop taking B12, two weeks before taking the test and biotin, two days before. I knew about the biotin (I thought that was 8 days prior, not sure where I got that from). I only have a week to stop taking the B12

Neuroprotective effect of rapamycin against Parkinson's disease in mice - 2018 https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30693687/
Conclusions: Rapamycin inhibits the activation of mTOR pathway, which contributes to protect against the loss of dopaminergic neurons and provide behavioral improvements in mice with Parkinson's disease. These results are partially related to the ability of rapamycin in inducing autophagy and reducing

Medication and second pregnancy
Hi, I was hoping to get some advice from women who have had PPP and gone on to have a second pregnancy. I had severe PPP with my first born, developing only a couple of days after birth. I was admitted into an MBU for 3 months. Responded quickly to treatment on Olanzapine. Several tumultuous years followed

Hello Friends. I have read a number of posts about VRS and almost all have said it has improved their life considerably. I am recently retired and have tried to improve my general health and breathing through diet , excercise , and following my treatment regimen. I don't seem to be getting any better

Thyroid nodule
I posted recently about a thyroid nodule I was diagnosed with in April and a follow up scan shows the nodule has grown a little since then. I have watched the webinar on thyroid nodules and realise they are common and more benign than not. I am being told by the consultant that they cannot confirm if

Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation
Hi all, I have recently commenced repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) and am at the half-way mark so thought I'd give an update as to how it's going. I initially started with a high frequency (excitatory) protocol but found that unbearable in that it seemed to make things worse. So, I

Xanax and Atrial Fibrillation
Has anyone ever felt an attack of Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) coming on and taken a Xanax and the AFib did not occur? Or even been having skipped beats (ectopics) and taken a Xanax and the irregular beats also stopped? Not sure why this may occur, unless it has something to do with anxiety. Or it may

I haven't had this bad of a day in a pretty long time.
Depressed, anxious, worried, and nothing I can do today is making even the slightest difference. I've felt a low-level anxiety attack happening for a couple days and today is a bit more intense. I can feel my heart and my breathing isn't right. I went for a long drive early this morning with my dogs

Make Sure You Understand Your Full Diagnosis
In February of 2021 I had my mental health intervention. I was diagnosed with GAD, Depression Type 1 with Psychotic Features, and PTSD. As most of you know I've been trying to treat the symptoms for my anger issues, my PTSD, and my depression. Well what did I not treat? The psychosis. This is why I'm

Rant alert, latest Endo update, reduced dose again!
Hi all I have just been on the phone with my Endocrinologist and I am really fed up with how my condition is managed. As with most people GP's and Endo's are only looking at TSH when checking my bloods to decide the dose of medicate and I have told him I don't agree with this rationale. Both my GP and

Has Anafranil helped anybody with their OCD?
I have tried many different SSRI's for OCD without too much luck. Currently on Lexapro which is helping my anxiety but not totally my OCD. Has anybody used Anafranil before when SSRI's didn't work for you?

Tricky Thyroid Patient! Advice please.
Hello, I have pasted my recent results below. Is anyone else known as a tricky thyroid patient?! These results are after a daily increase to 125mcg in July. My TSH has never been so low! However, I don't really feel any different. I feel 'flat' and fat! Still cannot lose weight and a couple of stones

Panic Attacks - Depersonalization
Last night, I experienced the worst panic attack I've ever had and it landed me in the ER because I thought I was going to die. One of the symptoms (personally think this is the worst one) was the feeling of depersonalization. I think it made my panic attack worse because I was confused as to what it
