Just ordered the duo coronet from Well Red. Was diagnosed 6 years ago and just started with c/l 25-100 twice daily even though my Mds prescribed it for thrice daily . Can anyone please share their experience with the red light therapy and whether it has helped. Thanks.

Have had my Coronet one year. Possibly helps with sleep but skeptical in general, sorry.
please tell me something about your coronet... if you place your hand over the red lights... do you see that red light shine through and display on the back of your hand? thanks
Hello PDWarrior, From the Wellred website "The Duo Coronet contains LEDS in two wavelengths – the deep red at 670nm, and near- infrared at 810nm. The program lasts 24 minutes in total, starting with 12 minutes of deep red 670nm followed immediately by 12 minutes of near-infrared 810nm. Both wavelength are pulsed at 40Hz. At the end of the 24 minute session, the Duo Coronet automatically turns itself off."
During the deep red period, the red light shines very brightly (hard to look at) and you would see the light shine on your hand; the near infrared is very soft red light that would not radiate onto your hand.
PDW,I do not see the red light display through my hand, should it?
think about this... (as i look for a link from an M.D. and another researcher for you)...'if'... that light does not shine through your 'hand'.... then...
HOW can it shine through the thick BONE of your HEAD?
here's the link... watch this very informative video about red light 'penetration' from the 'toys' that are being sold for THOUSANDS of dollars (rip off!)
skip to the 4:57 minute mark to see the experiment that this M.D. and scientist did with a red light and a piece of raw, bisected head of a lamb ... NO penetration!
Here's a very interesting, informative discussion about light - UV, red, infrared - and it's importance to humans. youtube.com/watch?v=5YV_iKn...
thanks but your link shows 'error' (i made the same mistake when i first started posting...here's the solution... at youtube, just under the video...click on 'SHARE' and copy that link.... and re-post here, thanks!
If you click on my icon I ve posted quite few posts about my husband and using red lights. Good luck 🤞
My husband started using the duo coronet about 15 months ago. The first improvement for him (after about 3 weeks) was the gradual return of his sense of smell. He can now smell normally, and that gives him great delight (regarding yummy food in particular). The next thing we noticed was that his handwriting started to improve. He now has "as good as it ever was" handwriting. He loves designing inventions, and is again taking a lot of joy in drawing designs in very fine detail. He used to suffer pretty much constant nausea, but that is much improved now. Regarding gait and posture, there has been a small decline over the past 15 months, but who knows, it may have been worse if he wasn't using the redlight. He has not noticed any other improvements at this stage, but all the research we've read says that red light therapy is a slow and steady therapy. Also, anything that gives you hope is a wonderful thing! 🙂 From our point of view, we rate the duo coronet as one of the best things we have done since the diagnosis. My husband is using it twice daily, once in the morning, and once at night. He is also using the Wellred therapad on his abdomen once daily to hopefully improve his microbiome.

Yes I tried it but I couldn’t make out
Yes, it's difficult to see whether light is making it through to the back of your hand when your vision is being blinded by the other 39 high power LEDs in your field of view.
So I decided to try it using the CoroNase single LED, which is identical to those in the Coronet.
I'm guessing that the palm of my hand is 2.5 to 3 cm thick and is composed of bone, ligament, tendons and skin.
Bear in mind that the wavelength is 670 nm so has less depth of penetration than the most effective wavelength, 810 nm NIR.
