REDUCE XTANDI DOSE?
Hello! I’m an 83 year old with 23 years old prostate cancer. I have developed HRPCA, so been on Xtandi and Lupron. My PSA went to undetectable from 16 in four months. I do suffer from mild to extreme fatigue. My oncologist just lowered my Xtandi dosage from 4 to 3 pills per day. He said I could lower

After a single dose (120 mg) of degarelix to support my ST-ADT in conjunction with pelvic lymph node IMRT, my Testosterone level is castrate (>20 ng/dl). I added this as estradiol patches were slow to get there (T = 63 after 2 weeks). And I am feeling surprisingly good as previously reported with no

Hi all I have been having a lot of problems with my skin and by looking online I would say that I have too much Histamine as I have bumps on my arms, legs, neck and back that itch a lot. I'm on anti-histamines that I got from my doctors and am relying on them as I'm even itching taking them. The doctor

Shin splints?
Hi I just did my W6R2 today. On finishing R1, the area under my left ankle was aching a bit. The pain continues now post R2. Am I experiencing shin splints? I run on a hard surface with plain trainers. When I say I run, I actually jog slow at walking speed. Covered 2.5km in the 20min run today I have

New trainers needed?
Soon after starting C25K in July I got properly fitted for shoes at a running shop. They have been fantastic, but in the last month or so I’ve been plagued with pain in my right leg (I’m LEFT handed so my non dominant leg) which seems to start in my foot. It’s not plantar fasciitis as I’ve had that in

One month on Xtandi with mCRPC
Thanks to all who responded to my post about the cost of Xtandi (Enzalutamide). I did get help from the Patient Assistance Network. I am very grateful. I had some kind of adverse synergistic reaction with Firmagon 9 days into Xtandi treatment, but switched back to Lupron yesterday with no apparent side

Decisions
Zytiga has run its course, apparently. Psa 2.26 now Doctor says we have choice of 1) Xtandi 2) Provenge 3) Xofigo or 4) PROSTAR trial with Xtandi plus CPI-1205. Bone Mets only

– Some years ago, Dr Shirish Sangle, one of my team at St Thomas’ Hospital, London, published a series of APS patients with idiopathic metatarsal

fractures
have been reported – sometimes multiple.

Provenge is Next
Hello Warriors and Caretakers. Saw my Onc this morning and said Provenge is in the horizon for me. PSA is up to 1.6, up from 1.1 three mos ago. Although my latest CAT and Bone scan were stable, he suspects there are microscopic cells becoming resistant. This is why he wants to initiate Provenge or Xofigo

Aorta?
After being on 80 mg for a while for GCA probably 10 days on now back to 60 because I didn't notice a lot of difference and I had my eyes checked and they were okay and I'm just so afraid of that high a dose. Meanwhile I slipped in my kitchen and fell on my butt hard and now I have a compression fracture

Anyone else have a -4.5 T-score?
I have chronic pain in my spine and am wondering if there are already stress
fractures
. I am making an appt. to see an endocrinologist, at the recommendation of my gynecologist, to test for parathyroid disease, which can cause severe bone loss.

Xgeva dosage regimen?
The standard approved dosage regimen for Xgeva is having an injection every 4 weeks. My Oncologist has been concerned about potential toxic side effects of this drug, such as necrosis of the jaw. As such, he has been treating me less frequently at 6 week intervals. I have been on this drug for several

I think ZYTIGA has stopped working
Hi everyone After some suggestions. I started ZYTIGA with Triptorelin at the beginning of April, 2018, with stage 4 and Mets in my Pelvis, spine, ribs, and both collar bones, as well as some lymph involvement. My PSA dropped to 0.05 in October 2018 and stayed at that level until July 2019, when it went

Shin splints
I got to week 6, but the shin splints have been awful. I last ran a week ago because the pain has been intense even when only walking. How long should I leave it before attempting to run again? Is there anything I can do to ease the pain? Thank you :)

W7R2 abort abort 😬
Got out there all ready to attempt this run. It felt harder than the last. Had a slight tinge in inner thigh almost feels like the tendon. Wasn't hurting much just aware of it. Ran 15 minutes ish but starting to be more aware of it. Still not a pain, but bearing in mind it would appear I have a high

Further Update
Hi Following on from my previous update, I have now had a conversation with my GP regarding my follow up Dexa Scan result and it did not go well. The advice was still to take AA and this was put across very strongly. My GP is very good and I know she has my best interest at heart but I still declined
