No more free Zytiga

Johnson and Johnson is cancelling their patient assistance program for Zytiga on Dec. 30. It provides free pills to those who qualify. My MO is switching me to Xtandi and we're applying to Pfizer for a similar program. I've been on a half-dose (500 mgs) of Zytiga for more that five years and remain undetectable.

The cost of generic Zytiga has gone way down. For Medicare patients on AARP United Health druug plan the annual cost is only about $830 for 2023.

Xtandi costs about $10,000, Zytiga $100, per month. Don’t be so anxious. 😉
