Anyone try clonidine as a replacement for lexapro or similar anti anxiety drug?
I’m trying out bupropion thinking helps with motivation and focus and taking lexapro which does help anxiety for sure but I know it’s hard to get off so was wondering would clonidine be as effective?

25 years of daily heavy drinking
hi, I have been one of the lucky ones, and I’m not writing this to gloat, I’ve read many of the stories on here about the effects of drinking, and it has been through reading these and re-assessing my own lifestyle that I was able to finally go to the doctor and tell him the truth about my drinking.

surgery ready
So I’m on the countdown to my total hysterectomy on 5th October. Had the pre op tests and book of a tick box questionnaire. Feeling a bit weird, I know all the pain and bleeding and hospital visits will be over at last, and I know I need this surgery because without it I just won’t have a normal life

Iron Levels
I am a 74-year-old woman living in New Zealand. I was on Ropinirole for restless legs for approximately 3 years. Augmentation set in and I saw his forum went to my doctor who has changed my medication to Pregabalin. Currently on 50mg per day as I weaned off Ropinirole (completely weaned off for 3 nights

Covid
I started to have cold symptoms a week ago and took a test which was negative. Felt like the worse cold ever - terrible muscle aches, cough and congestion. After a couple of days I realised I couldn’t smell anything . My daughter who is a nurse said it sounds like Covid so I tested again and this

Advice needed on iron/ferritin levels please
I'd be really grateful if anyone could advise on whether I need to be concerned about my iron/ferritin levels. I'm seeing a neurologist tomorrow and want to be well informed. I have results from my last three blood tests so hopefully that might help. Serum iron level: October 2023 - 7.7 umol/L; January

It's going to be different from now on.
You're going to stop worrying about things that won't happen. Don't happen. Which includes just about everything you're anxious about. You're going to stop seeing the future as a dark depressing place you don't want to visit. Come what may, you aren't always going to feel like this. I promise. You're

Negative SVT Ablation experience
Good Morning All, So I had my SVT Ablation on Thursday at St Thomas’. Not a great experience. Procedure took 3 and half hours. I was awake the whole time and conscious of everything! Four puncture wounds on groin. Two either side. I could feel the catheters going up into my veins and tweaking around

Carvedilol
Hi, I've had my second (annual) gastroscopy since my Cirrhosis was diagnosed last year in February. The results were pretty much as the first one, so no change. The doctor who performed this test, different to the first one, suggested that my GP put me on Carvedilol. GP prescribed it and I have now

Good resources regarding vagal AFIB?
Does anyone have any good resources (articles, YouTube videos) directed to vagally-mediated AFIB (the type that occurs after a large meal or while sleeping)? I believe my AFIB was triggered by endurance athletics (I used to do long bike rides and probably overdid it and stressed my body too much).

Low iron, supplementing with 3 Arrows
Hi everyone, I posted about a week ago after having iron studies done through the NHS, it came back that I wasn’t iron deficient enough to be treated by a doctor, but my levels were definitely low enough to start treatment since I’m already experiencing symptoms and don’t want to get worse….. Latest
