I have a teen boy that’s not interested in having friends/do activities doesn’t talk or makes eye contact to anyone when spoken to., refuses counseling and since he is 18 I can’t force him ..

Denies been depressed had a Psychological exam Dr. Doesn’t have any diagnosis other than ADHD that we know since he was 10.

Is this behavior normal of a teen/ADHD. Is there is any programs/therapy .

Any input will be appreciated

I am not a parent, but I was wondering if you might go to support groups for family members of mentally ill people? I have received much help going to 12 step meetings (CoDA, ACoA, Al-Anon). You might look up your local NAMI groups for families of mentally ill people. You might be able to find parents in similar situations who can offer additional tips. I think you are doing a good thing by reaching out - it shows you are a caring parent. I wish you good luck and will hold you and your son in healing light.
