Sugar free warning
I have kept IBS D under control for 7 months with the low
FODMAP
diet. I had oral thrush so started to use a "sugar free" over the counter remedy. My diarrhea came back with a vengence. When I examined the ingredients I found "peach kernal oil" which I assume is the culprit.

So, it's not PA
Once I started to do
FODMAP
as best I could, and added kefir to my diet, my gut has been much improved. Still can't eat much in the way of raw veg. No longer having diarrhea unless I eat salads. Weird, i know.

Advice on interpreting Thyroid ultravit results
Explorations over the yrs have included colonoscopy, endoscopy, celiac test, trying
FODMAP
diet. Gastro unit blood tests found ferritin 4.2 (plus high inflammatory markers, sometimes poor kidney function etc).

Raised calprotectin 500 bloating and uncomfortable on right hand side abdomen
Have tried all sorts of cutting out food, low
fodmap
diet, lactose etc and it doesn’t matter how good or how crap I eat, there’s been no improvement. Has anyone here had similar issues?

FoodMarble Aire breath tester, has anyone heard of this?
Hi, I'm new here, I've had IBS diagnosed for 20 years and it's getting better by following some of the
Fodmap
diet (no onions, garlic or orange juice!).

What works for me - Amitriptyline
I'd tried fibre supplements, expensive probiotics, obviously the
fodmap
diet, mebeverine. Nothing really worked. I got got the point where every meal out was ending really badly and I was close to making the decision of not going to events or family meals.

any good pro/ prebiotics for bloating and excessive gas ??
i mean that is also
FODMAP
friendly * no lactose or corn derivatives in the inactive ingredients * Every brand claims they are the best , but i need something truly tried by an IBS / D sufferer .

Underactive thyroid, levothyroxine and wind, stomach problems
I'm currently trying a low
fodmap
diet but nothing seems to work or help my symptoms. Now looking through various research (and there's loads to go at) I'm come to the conclusion that its something to do with the levothyroxine or maybe low stomach acid.

Does this happen to anyone else?
I can’t eat veg or fruit as I’m intolerant and I’ve also tried the
FODMAP
and have also been fed through a tube.

Fodmap?
Has anyone tried the
fodmap
diet and had any success? Weight loss / pain management? My pt is starting me on it and I’m excited to try and get rid of the pain and swelling but obviously know it’s not going to 100% help with pain but I’m desperate not to be living on painkillers

Feeling a little lost!
I have been off the restriction
FODMAP
diet for about 6 weeks now, as it didn’t show anything and I started to lose weight (I’m pretty tiny as it is), am still losing weight as have completely gone off the idea of eating.

Fodmap diet isn’t helping.
Hi, has anyone been on the
fodmap
diet but still suffering symptoms after eliminating foods. I can’t go on to reintroducing because of this. Thanks!

what are common ibs food triggers?
My doctor did not recommend trying the low
fodmap
diet (and I don't think I could!), so I've been trying to eat more healthily while avoiding IBS. As per my gastro doc, I am taking IBgard in the mornings (a peppermint oil supplement) before breakfast.

I don’t know what to do
I’m living on cereal as I can’t eat anything without being in pain (I’ve tried the
FODMAP
diet.) I have a lump by my belly button that has now gotten bigger and is very painful. My blood tests have shown I have a low white blood cell count. Basically I’m at a loss.
