Unable to have Fodmap diet
I've read a lot of positive stories on here about the
Fodmap
Diet. But, having looked into it, I've found that I can't have it as a lot of the foods you should have as part of the diet are foods I can't eat. Has anyone else found this or has anyone tried the diet & found that it didn't work?

Can stress ownself be the CAUSE of SIBO? I am not sure that i developed sibo after an accute infection. Im looking for my underlying cause
I only take rifaximin but i never tried diets like
fodmap
, etc. (Althoug i avoid dairy, gluten, most of fruits and vegetables, beans, etc etc.). I am underweight and i eat only five or six foods. I know the existence of vinculin test (IBScheck) but it is not available in my country.

Recipes for a couple of diets
FODMAP
testing is fairly expensive so I think we might be starting to benefit from more testing by getting a better variety of foods. I will treat these recipes vary warily until I have proved that they are low enough everything to suit me.

Low fodmap not really helping
So because I'm not diagnosed with anything as yet apart from ibs d (which I know this isnt) the dietician put me on a low
fodmap
diet. Some days I think yeah this is helping but other days like last night I'm still getting the burning stabbing pains. Has anyone tried this diet and found it helpful?

Hi, I'm new. Seen dietician and had colonoscopy - bit confused.
Saw Gastro dr. who felt probably IBS, referred to dietician for support with
Fodmap
diet and got some degree of improvement. I've just had a colonoscopy because symptoms still quite severe and this appeared normal, although I've not had results of biopsies yet.

Is there anywhere to go for nutrition/diet advice that doesn't cost a fortune?
I have been referred again to a
fodmap
dietitian, but to be honest I can't eat half of the low
fodmap
foods, so what do you do?

Always pain
Did the
fodmap
thing, tried being gluten free, etc. Any other suggestions? Anybody else have this? Once I get moving in the morning, it settles down a bit, and sometimes the weird pain goes on all day. I can function otherwise. I also have a bit of anxiety. Who wouldn't?..

Exhausted trying
And I know people will say try
fodmap
, tried it! Try this medication or that, go to doctors etc, tried it all to no avail. It really has ruined my life completely for 25 + years. Lost any friends I did have because people can't understand and get frustrated that I'm seemingly not trying.

Does anyone know of a weight gain powder that does not have milk or a lot of unhealthy (High FODMAP) ingredients?
But I noticed it has a lot of High
FODMAP
ingredients, although they seemed to have reduced the sugar content. I have to probably pay out of pocket. I looked at some websites..and it seems everything is for bodybuilders.

Revised version of the list of things to try.
I am on a low
FODMAP
diet. Prebiotic is Fermentable olio saccharide Unfortunately the first two letters of the
FODMAP
acronym stand for the same stuff so I don’t think it’s a good idea to take prebiotics if you are following the
FODMAP
diet. I am taking probiotics and drinking Yakult daily.

Any success with the Keto Diet for IBS?
I have previously completed the
FODMAP
elimination and reintroduction diet under the direction of a clinical dietician, so have identified my main trigger foods as being onion, garlic, cashew nuts.

Endometriosis and Nutrition
I avoid complex carbs and generally stick to a low
fodmap
diet. I occasionally have caffeine and almost zero alcohol. I don't seem to notice a difference at all. I know stress and heat don't help but yesterday I looked 7 months pregnant and it was so painful to move.
