Hi Everyone, probably TMI but I keep getting shooting pain up my bum like a hot poker, can be painful to sit down at times and also painful to go to the loo and I'm constantly bloated at the moment. I havent been diagnosed with endo yet but my specialist thinks it may be recto vaginal endo. Does anyone else suffer the same and how do you cope with it/control it? Ive tried low fodmap and cutting out diary but that didn't seem to work for me.

I have those symptoms and it's due to having endo in my pod and uterosacral ligaments, the only thing that seems to ease it faster for me are heat pads x
Yes I had this pain, after two laparoscopies it was found I had endo on my pod. The shooting pain is awful though! I still get it occasionally, but I’m now on my second (and final) pregnancy so after this I plan on using contraception to not have a period and hopefully minimise the symptoms. I hope you manage to get a diagnosis soon, it’s an awful pain to deal with x
Thank you for your response, its nice to know that I'm not alone on this one. I'm on a constant pill so have no period and have this pain almost every day. I really hope they find something this time round just so I can get an answer. x
Hi Rach890! I am also on a pill without a break and recently experienced the same type of shooting pain. I have been diagnosed with adenomyosis in March 2018, but haven't yet confirmed if I also have endometriosis.
I try to sit less while in the office by working at the standing desk. And like others I am always using a heating pad.
Have you tried changing a pill to see if that makes any difference?
