Any help/advice/tips please?!
Hi all, this is my first time coming to a forum like this and I’m just hoping to get some advice.. Sorry it might be a bit of a long one.. For roughly 8 years now I have had issues with my periods being irregular/not normal. I was originally on the combined pill when they used to suggest taking breaks

Periods 2 weeks apart
hi all, I'm 18 months into the coil and have been having periods 2 weeks apart. They're red and normal, with normal cramping. So is this normal? Do I need to call the doctor? I feel fine apart from it just being annoying! Thanks

Mirena coil worries
I am writing this because I have no idea what to about my mirena coil. Whenever I have periods my mood is the worst, it is as though I take a running nose dive off of the tallest building right into solid rocks. In the past I have taken numerous contraception, pills, injection and now the mirena coil

I have been recommended the coil to try. How do you find it? Does it affect your mood?

Endo - struggling with hormonal contraception as a treatment
Hi, I’m really hoping someone can offer help/ experience of what to do when you cannot tolerate hormonal contraception as an endo treatment. I’ve had to give up on the idea of having any more children, we tried for a long time and nothing happened, even after I had endo treated in a laparoscopy. My

Hi, I have day surgery booked in Oct to have my stuck coil removed. I’m wanting to ask anyone how they were afterwards and how much recovery time was needed? Many thanks in advance.

Asking a question on behalf of my Mum with regards to a hysterectomy. Ladies who have had it what did you keep?
My mum is 51 has always suffered with extremely heavy periods and as she has gotten older this has gotten significantly worse. After being put on iron tablets and tranexamic acid by the GP with not much relief she was referred to a gynaecologist. The gynaecologist examined her and said her uterus

Symptoms and diagnosis! HELP
I began having pelvic pains in 2016 following having a coil fitted. Immediately I was in hospital having severe cramping. They thought the coil had migrated. It was found in the right place and I was sent home. Every month was the same around my cycle. One evening I came home from work with severe pelvic

Dienogest with mirena coil
I had a 2nd laparoscopy in March 2021 where I had the mirena fitted at the same time. I had bleeding for 6 months after and I started to get pain again when my consultant informed me I could take dienogest 2mg alongside which could help settle the pain. I have had to get it from abroad due to issues
