On cancer urgent pathway

Hi i have sle lupus,fibromyalgia;raynaunds,rheumatoid arthritis,brain injury etc etc

Due to bowel and cycle bkeed changes plus other sytpoms gp refer me ultrasound internal.

That brought up something plus other isdues she said write gynaecology look at results get a appointment.

But gynaecology emailed Gp book me as urgent cancer pathway.

I didn't know got call to book in fast see a gynaecology consultant.

So i went last Friday consultation another internal scan try remove expired coil couldn't so do under aesthetic.

Then sat me down to explain based on what found need have urgent tests sent me to blood test got cancer plus other blood tests done.

Then sunday got call book me this Friday urgent dye assisted mri plus a cap cat scan?

Once all results ready send to gynaecology consultant to then get me in results plan of action.

Gmad ask go local hospital got 2nd internal scan results

Follicular cysts on right ovary

Left ovary solid mass

Cysts elsewhere praying trying not be anxious

All rather scary see rheumatologist monday.

Gonna email nurse let know so that appointments used well.

Oh iiI Ask change rheumatologist consultant after 5 years poor care.

Some support not much at all especially initially very rude family members.

But did wish me best hoping tests show mass is benign .

My brothers a nurse hes been great support some my church friends to.

sorry to hear you are facing so much stress & not getting the care from your rhmy, i have asked for a second opinion....no appointments available so i will wait at least 18 weeks to see another dt.

im getting great rheumatology care now because i asked in june be changed to different consultant.

Hes very good and apologised failing me via his colleague she will be discplined.

Oh no wish you the best 18 weeks is long do see gp in meantime hun

hi Soul22 - I’m so very sorry you are going through this at the moment , I know how stressful it is for you as I had similar last year, I had ovarian cancer, a very large tumour, had complete hysterectomy and all ok now, the waiting around for results is awful, I have my fingers crossed for you 🤞 and sending a big hug 🤗 please let us know how you get on xx

So your solution was full hysterectomy? Or did you need chemotherapy and radion treatment.

My late mum had ovarian cancer she already had hysterectomy left ovaries in as no history of concern.

She had ibs and dr kept saying its that wouldn't go see different dr when she suddenly had bad pain told her go see gp.

Gp found fouid sent urgent same as i am but was to late 2 years 9 different types of chemo.

It was elattached to all abdomen organs couldn't operate.

However she was 73, bless you how are you now hunni.

Thankyou of course il update but tomorrow's if mri and cat scan no results until get gynaecology consultant appointment.

so sorry that your mum went through this and that you lost her, my only symptom was I bleed for 3 weeks which was very unusual for me as I had periods for 5 days every month so went and saw my GP she put me on the urgent 2 weeks cancer pathway, I had an internal and outside ultrasound , I had 2 tumours, one was attached to my ovaries , several weeks later they removed them, the biggest one was the size of a melon, thankfully the cancer was all contained in 1 of the tumours so I didn’t need any chemo or radiation- I think my self very lucky as it could have been so different.

I to have internal plus external ultrasound wasn't enough so had dye assisted mri and dye assisted ct scan im awaiting news hun.

So glad yours solved via surgery
