What do I do?
I am so sorry this is really long but I am at a loss as to what I should do and struggling waiting. I have struggled with what I believe to be endo for years. I have always suffered with heavy, painful periods and pain in between my periods and I have been back and forth to my GP over the years. They

Long story short I am 35 nearly 36 and have suffered from Endo since about 17 and was disagnosed at around 22 . Pain that worsens upon movement? And triggers longer episodes of pelvic pain if I’ve been lifting or especially walking anywhere.
So, just over 3 years ago, I had a tubo-ovarian abscess, which I was in hospital for around a week with… It’s likely that this may have been caused by the coil itself and a consequent infection. Managed conservatively at the time but after repeated infections and severe pain, I was finally offered surgery

IUD and awful anxiety
I got a progesterone IUD inserted about 5 weeks ago due to having pre cancerous cells in my uterus (my mom died from uterine cancer). Now I’m a few days from getting my period and my anxiety is absolutely crippling and awful. Due to the awful anxiety I also get simple partial seizures which causes more

Starting to consider hormonal treatment.. advice?
Hi all - I know this will be so unique to the individual and will seek help from my GP when I come to make a decision, but just trying to get a general opinion on experiences with hormonal treatment. I had my Mirena coil taken out two years ago when I was diagnosed as it was not sitting properly due

HRT options
Hello All, I had the Mirena coil (IUD) since starting menopause and was taking oral oestrogen HRT in addition for the hot flushes (nearly 10 years now). I was on Elleste solo 1mg, which I only took every 3-4 days, as I found this dose was okay for controlling the flushes, if I took more my breasts

Pelvic and Endo update
So, as I mentioned in the past, I have been undergoing multiple scans, different hormonal contraceptives etc to help with my heavy bleeding, pains etc. Before they used to say it might be Pelvic inflammatory dease as to why I was on them, they also keep seeing this cyst on my left side which either grows

Laproscopy and hysterocopy
Hi all had a diagnostic laproscopy 19th June which removed some endo and a large cyst. Also had a hysteroscopy to remove polyps healing really well. Was told the only way to slow down recurrence of endo was to have coil or get pregnant. I've had so many issues with a variety of contraception and really

Implant or Injections
I am 21 diagnosed endo laparoscopy last year & had hormonal coil which is due for removal in December (I think it was containing my pain but now it isn’t)My pain is increasing dramatically so consultant has recommended implant or injections when coil is removed. I’m wondering how I am supposed to decide

Ultrasounds/MRIs - My experience and why you need to advocate for yourself if they don’t show Endo!
Controversial take here on ultrasounds and MRIs, but I responded to another users query with the below info, and wanted to share it more widely as I think more people need to challenge their doctors when they are told the scans didn't show anything but you are still in pain. I was diagnosed with severe

Complaining about care from Gynaecologist in Surrey
Hi everyone, I had an MRI at the beginning of this year (finally lol!). I had to make several complaints to PALs just to get a telephone appointment to discuss the results, 6 months later. I finally had that telephone appointment today, and honestly, I am feeling suicidal after how I was spoken to

Mirena coil during laparoscopy
Hey everyone, I’ve just been for my pre op appointment all went well but I asked the nurse wether I could have my copper coil taken out and replaced with a Mirena during surgery and he said I’d have to speak to the surgeon about it on the day of surgery. This seems really last minute and kinda stresses

copper coil
has anyone experienced horrible headaches with the ten year copper coil. I’m only a few weeks in and they said it will take a few months to settle but I thought that would be bleeding or cramps but not migraines? It’s non hormonal so I’m not sure why it wd give me headaches but I also have painful twinges

Bleeding after Laparoscopy
Hi all, Please note this maybe to much info .... Apologies. Sorry for the question. I know there is a few topics regarding Laparoscopy but just want to understand if what's happening is normal. I had my laparoscopy 3 weeks ago. All the incisions have healed well and from surgery side of things I'm

Feeling deflated after first appointment with Gynaecology! Yet another ultrasound! 😢
Hi I’m completely new to the group, joined after my urology doctor referred me to gynaecology to have a laparoscopy to investigate endometriosis. Since then I have researched a lot and convinced I have endometriosis! Everything I have been through the last 3 years points to endo. (I didn’t know about
