OUCH!
Several years ago, I tried
Flector
patches, and they were remarkable (they have an added anti-inflammatory with analgesic.) I have also used other higher potent pain patches for short periods during hospital stays. My insurance did not covered outpatient pain patches.

Blood tests
Hi, I'm looking for some help with interpreting my blood test results. I feel that everything is being looked at separately and no connections are being made. I had Laryngeal cancer last year and was treated with radical radiotherapy, my treatment finished in January 2016. I was diagnosed hypothyroid

Blood Test Advice please
Hello, So I got my private intrinsic factor antibodies test results back today (in case anyone has not read my previous results, I decided to go down this route after waiting since November for ones ordered by my GP - not his fault, think it's the lab being funny for some reason). Came back as negative

Doctor is too afraid to prescribe thyroxine
Just had an appointment with new doctor. Otherwise very lovely lady, was easy to talk with her and she didn't turn me down. She said she would back up CFS if nothing else shows up. She is too afraid to start levo trial as some of doctors over here Finland still think they will lose their license if

Pernicious Anaemia tests skewed by B12 shots?
Hello everybody, I have decided to go privately to be tested for pernicious anaemia. Not very happy with the cost, esp as I decided to do a full thyroid test. I have Hashimoto and they only test TSH. I am sure my GP is not going to approve the tests and I can't go through another battle! I had about

PMR and Ra
I wonder if anyone else has been diagnosed as having "polymyalgic onset rheumatoid arthritis?" That is my ? Diagnosis. I have quite severe osteoarthritis in my wrists and fingers. On scanning no rheumatoid signs were detected. I was originally diagnosed with PMR and have now been on pred for two years

My B12 levels have decreased significantly, but why?
Hello everyone. I'm a 19 year old male. Not too long ago my blood test showed RF latex test > 450, which I have read indicates advanced disease. I've read a bit about rheumatoid arthritis and diseases associated with rheumatoid factor, but none, I think, match how I'm feeling. I don't think I have RA

Any help!!!
Just filling in the dreaded PIP forms. I've had a car for nearly 30 years which I think I'll loose but fingers crossed. Any how. Got some paperwork off my GP and a few interesting things I've noticed on them. I was sent to a Rheumatoid Doctor in July 2015. On the letter it says that my ESR was raised

Does this sound like Sjorgens? I do NOT have dry eyes nor a dry mouth. Is that common?

Thank you admins re MMA
Thank you for your replies Taka and Foggyme. B12 injections have relieved my extreme fatigue, the main symptom I experienced. Several years ago my Active B12 & MMA were analysed at St Thomas Hospital (twice) and found to be in the "grey area", but no action or further monitoring was taken by GP's.

I am new here. Diagnosed with borderline B12 and Positive Intrinsic Factor Antibodies, last year. Receiving three monthly injections, after six loading doses. Would a Methylmalonic Acid (MMA) test reveal a more accurate reflection of my B12 status? I know a Active & Serum B12 blood test will be

PA test
I was diagnosed with PA this past October. The test is positive for Abnormal Intrinsic Factor. How do I know if this is autoimmune? Is there another test for that? The first test in April came back negative/equivocal, second time positive. I am from the US maybe we have different testing?? Thanks
